Ola Focuses On AI As It Acqui-Hires Bengaluru Startup Pikup.ai To Develop Mobility Solutions

Cab aggregator major Ola has Acqui-hired artificial intelligence (AI) startup from Bengaluru known as Pikup.ai, The News Minute reports. Pikup.aib uses autonomous technology like AI, computer vision and sensor fusion to provide AI-powered solutions to business.
The company, established by Inder Singh and Ritwik Saikia, will now see its team join Ola. In a statement, Ola said that the company is centring on using advanced analytics and deep technology to build futuristic mobility resolutions.
The machine learning and AI, when combined with Ola’s expertise in the segment and rich data with it, will support them in identifying deep insights to lead better mobility results. The acquire will bring extensive area expertise aiming to deliver innovations to improve safety and mould consumer experience.
Earlier, Ola had announced intention to set up an Advanced Technology Centre in the San Francisco Bay area, wanting to focus on developing next-gen tech in mobility like electric, connected and autonomous vehicles.
