As per reports the conference was attended by 40 Indian and 27 international delegates. The inaugural session was addressed by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
This was the first such event hosted by India after it became a full time member of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation in 2017. Pakistan too became its member in the same year.
During the course of the two day event, Pakistan's seat at the venue remained vacant but its delegates decided to turn up at the dinner organised in the evening.
