Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a strong pitch for India at the Singapore Fintech Festival by highlighting opportunities in the country and the progress achieved by his government. He called upon investors and startups to set up their business in India during his address. Modi added that India was the ‘best destination’ for startups during his address, Business Standard has reported.

While delivering the keynote address, the Indian Prime Minister highlighted financial inclusion initiatives in India. He listed Aadhaar, UPI, Rupay and BHIM offerings by the government as significant steps in achieving financial inclusion. PM Modi spoke on the steps taken by India in achieving inclusive development.
PM Modi launched APIX (Application Programming Interface Exchange), a global fintech platform with Deputy PM of Singapore, T. Shanmugaratnam during the programme. APIX platform will connect Indian companies to global financial institutions.
Narendra Modi is on a two-day visit to Singapore. He will participate in the 13th East Asia Summit and also hold a bilateral meeting with US Vice President Mike Pence.
