South Korean technology giant Samsung's all new flagship foldable smartphone Galaxy Z Flip priced at a whopping Rs 1.10 lakh was sold out in its first ever sale in India within a matter of minutes, reports Livemint.
Samsung India's online store had to announce a 'sold out' message on its website within an hour of the sale going live at 11 am on Friday (21 February). The leading retail outlets which had begun pre-bookings for the newly launched flagship have also run out of stocks.
While the individuals who had ordered the phone yesterday will begin to receive their phone units starting 26 February, another round of bookings will be launched for the smartphone on 28 February. The ones who place an order for the phone then will begin to receive their units in March.
The phone boasts of a first of its kind foldable 6.7 inch glass screen. Samsung has also announced free of cost accidental damage coverage, which includes one-time screen protection and a 24X7 dedicated call centre support across India.
