Inaugurated by Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi in october 2018 on the 143rd birth anniversary of the nation's first Union Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the ginormous Statue of Unity located in State of Gujarat has been included in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO)'s '8 Wonders of SCO', reports Asian News International (ANI).
With a towering height of 182-meters, Statue of Unity in Gujarat's Kevadia is the world's tallest statue and has become a tourist magnet since it was launched open for tourists from around the world to visit.
The Statue's inclusion in the prestigious '8 Wonders of SCO' was announced to the public by Union Minister for External Affairs S Jaishankar who took to Twitter to appreciate SCO's efforts towards the promotion of tourism among the member nations.

Meanwhile, it should also be noted that India joined the SCO as a full-fledged member just years ago in 2017 at a historic summit in Astana, the capital city of Kazakhstan which has since been renamed to Nur-Sultan.
