Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan met Dashmat Rawat at the CM House in Bhopal and respectfully washed his feet on Thursday (6 July).
Chouhan posted the video of washing Rawat's feet and wrote, "I am sharing this video so everyone gets to know that the citizens are god in Madhya Pradesh."
"Atrocity against anyone will not be tolerated. The respect of state's citizens is my respect," he further wrote on Twitter.
Rawat is the victim of an incident where an accused individual named Pravesh Shukla was seen urinating on him.
The distressing incident from Sidhi got viral on social media after which Shukla was arrested on Tuesday night. He was booked under IPC (Indian Penal Code) sections 323, 123, 294 and 506 and also the NSA.
The local administration also took 'bulldozer action' against him on Wednesday by demolishing his illegal construction.
CM Chouhan tweeted yesterday that he intends to meet Dashmat Rawat to share his grief and to assure him that justice will be done.
