SonyLIV To Go Live On ACT FibreNet: ISP Signs Deal To Consolidate OTT Offerings

Internet provider Atria Convergence Technologies Limited or also known as ACT Fibernet, will expand Over The Top (OTT) offerings as well as premium content to its customers, through the new partnership with SonyLiv, reports the Television Post.
As part of the deal, customers of ACT FIbernet across 16 cities in India will be able to directly subscribe to the Video on Demand (VoD) service and enjoy movies, sports, shows, music, web original series and films in Hindi and English. Further, the offer is valid for all broadband plans and will be available at a cost of Rs 99 per month.
Head of marketing, ACT Fibernet, Ravi Karthik commenting about the partnership said, “SonyLIV is one of the most widely watched OTT platform with a host of original content, and we are happy to bring their offerings through our service to all our customers across the country.”
He adds that there has been an increasing demand for OTT content in the past year. “We have received an overwhelming response for the various other OTT services that we provide to our users. We are positive that we will see remarkable traction for SonyLIV as well and our customers will have a wholesome entertainment experience,” Ravi Karthik said.
Speaking on behalf of Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) about the partnership, business head digital of SPNI Uday Sodhi said,” ACT Fibernet is one of most of the preferred broadband service provider in India, and we are delighted to offer SonyLIV content to its 1.28 million customers in the country. Backed by high internet broadband speed viewers will enjoy a seamless streaming experience.”
