Things turned sour for Sanjay Leela Bhansali when Rajput Karni Sena protested against the director and his film Padmavati and since then, the makers have been trying their best to clarify that there’s no sequence between Rani Padmavati and Alauddin Khilji in the flick.
The team has now issued a clarification on Twitter and has even started a new hashtag which reads #NoSceneBetweenRaniPadmavatiAndAlauddinKhilji.
Team Padmavati tweeted, "There NEVER was and never will be any scene or dream or song between #RaniPadmavati and #AlauddinKhilji. #SanjayLeelaBhansali revers #RaniPadmavati and will NEVER do anything to hurt #Rajput sentiments. Do not believe otherwise. Anyone working on #Padmavati will confirm that there NEVER was any scene or dream between #RaniPadmavati and #AlauddinKhilji."
The Rajput caste organisation, Rajput Karni Sena, had opposed and hauled shooting of the magnum-opus at Jaigarh Fort near Jaipur, alleging distortion of historical facts by the filmmaker.
