In Telangana’s Warangal, a priest offering prayers at Sivasai Temple has been brutally attacked by miscreants of another community for playing Suprabatham early morning. Dandapantula Satyanarayana was attacked by five men early morning on Friday, 26 October, after he turned the sound system on in the ‘Kagada Harathi’ time.
Telangana Today reported that the priest was later on admitted to MGM hospital for the necessary medical treatment. It is said that the priest underwent a surgery because of a rib fracture caused due to the assault. Based on the complaint, Matwada police arrested the accused after gaining hold of the CCTV footage.
According to the report by Telangana Today, Inspector L Jeevan Reddy informed the media that a case has been successfully booked against all the accused in the incident. Furthermore, several BJP leaders including Warangal President Rao Padma Reddy, and Former MLA M Dharma Rao took out a dharna, condemning the brutal attack on the priest.
