Senior IPS officer from the state's Police force, Ashok Kumar said, "We believe Tik Tok gives us the opportunity to be easily approachable while allowing us to connect with the general public at a very personal level."
Kumar added that Uttarakhand Police will be sharing videos related to women's safety, road safety, cybersecurity and other social issues on the social media platform which has witnessed tremendous adoption and usage in India since its launch.
Meanwhile, Tik Tok's director of Public Policy (India), Nitin Saluja expressed happiness over the decision of Uttarakhand Police to create an official account on the platform and said it is a proud moment for the company to collaborate with different law enforcement agencies in India to make a difference.
