Union Minister of Railways and Commerce & Industry, Piyush Goyal, shared some heartening news for the devotees of Arulmigu Ramanathswamy Temple.
The central government is working at full throttle to complete the construction of India’s first vertical lift railway sea bridge in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu.
Railway Minister Piyush Goyal also shared a animation of the vertical lift sea bridge.

The bridge is 2 kilometer long and connects mainland India to Pamban Island, which is also known as Rameswaran Island.
In March 2019, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had laid the foundation stone for this iconic project in Kanyakumari. He had also inaugurated several developmental schemes in addition to announcing new railway and highway initiatives in the region last year.
