Bajrang Dal leader named Raj Kumar, also known as Bittu Bajrangi, was sent to Nuh court on Wednesday following his arrest by the Nuh police.
He was arrested in connection with the violence that occurred during a religious yatra on July 31 in the district.
The Nuh police had registered an FIR against him based on a complaint filed by ASP Usha Kundu at Sadar Nuh police station on Tuesday.
The charges against him include assault or criminal force to deter a public servant from discharging their duty, voluntarily causing harm to deter a public worker from performing their duty, rioting, and violation of Section 25 of the Arms Act.
The Nuh Court, in response to the police request, has approved a one-day police remand for Bittu for the purposes of investigation into the allegations.
