Nagpur-Vijayawada Economic Corridor: 10 Firms Submit Bids For Mancherial-Warangal Greenfield Highway In Telangana

Ten construction firms have filed a total of 24 bids to build 108 km long greenfield access controlled highway between Mancherial and Warangal in Telangana, which is part of the 405 km Nagpur-Vijayawada Economic Corridor.
Nagpur - Vijayawada Economic Corridor passes through Maharashtra, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. This project is taken up as a four lane access controlled highway is divided into three packages.
The other stretches of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are Warangal – Khammam section (108.24 km) and Khammam – Vijayawada section (70.24 km).
Bidders for Mancherial and Warangal stretch include Bekem Infra Projects Pvt. Ltd, Chetak Enterprises Ltd, Dilip Buildcon Ltd, GR Infraprojects Ltd, HG Infra Engineering Ltd, Kalyan Toll Infrastructure Ltd, KNR Constructions Ltd, Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Ltd. (MEIL), Montecarlo Ltd, Oriental Structural Engineers Pvt. Ltd, reports metrorailguy.
Mancherial and Warangal stretch begins at Narva village near Mancherial town and ends at Oorugonda village near Warangal city.
The estimated cost of this stretch is Rs 2,500 crore. This project is divided into three packages costing around Rs 850 crore each.
Works may first begin on 31 km long package-1 from Narva village to Puttapaka.
Once complete, Nagpur - Vijayawada Economic Corridor eases congestion on existing highways, reduces distance between various cities and provides port connectivity to Northern Telangana and Vidarbha regions.
