Fulfilling his electoral promise, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in the inceptive period of his second consecutive term has directed the constitution of the “Purohit Kalyan Board” for the welfare of elderly saints, priests, seers, and sadhus.
In February, as a part of his election campaigning, CM Adityanath addressed a public rally in Raebareli where he declared, “We have decided to constitute a Purohit Kalyan Board.” In addition, he also promised that “all Sanskrit students will get a special scholarship.” Delivering on these promises mentioned in Bharatiya Janata Party’s Lok Kalyan Sankalp Patra, CM passed the orders in a meeting of the Council of Ministers.
The instructions came in after Chief Minister was appraised with a presentation of the action plan of the Charitable Affairs, Tourism, Culture and Language departments.
Further, he has also directed the creation of an online integrated temple information system within the next 100 days. This will include information about the temple, its history, route map, etc. for the convenience of the devotees and tourists. In Prayagraj, Mathura, Gorakhpur, and Varanasi districts “Bhajan Sandhya Sthals” (evening prayer venues) will also be prepared.
Apart from this, Adityanath also stressed upon the timely development of 12 identified tourist circuits – Ramayana Circuit, Buddhist Circuit, Spiritual Circuit, Shaktipeeth Circuit, Krishna/Braj Circuit, Bundelkhand Circuit, Mahabharata Circuit, Sufi Circuit, Craft Circuit, Freedom Struggle Circuit, Jain Circuit, and Wildlife and Eco-Tourism Circuit.
For these various tourist developments, the government is mulling over the Private Public Partnership (PPP) model. A Tourism and Culture Council will also be constituted in all 75 districts of the state. Chief Minister Adityanath stated that it was their endeavour to establish the state as a cultural destination.
