UP Police Eliminates Two Sharpshooters Linked To Dreaded Gangster Mukhtar Ansari In Prayagraj Encounter

Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (UP STF) has carried out an encounter in Prayagraj on Wednesday (03 March) killing two sharpshooters linked to gangsters Munna Bajrangi and Mukhtar Ansari.
The deceased criminals were identified as Vakil Pandey and Amzad, who were involved in the murder of the deputy jailer of Varanasi Anil Kumar Tyagi in 2013 at the behest of gangsters Bajrangi and Ansari.
A 30 mm and 9 mm pistol, live cartridges and a motorcycle were recovered from the spot after the encounter, reports Zee News.
These criminals had instilled fear among the locals by killing the deputy jailer of Varanasi Jail in 2013. In 2020, Bhadohi MLA Vijay Mishra had cited grave threats to his life from these criminals.
The Uttar Pradesh government has been on the offensive to destroy the ecosystem of notorious gangster turned MLA Mukhtar Ansari.
The Lucknow administration had demolished an illegal property owned by Ansari, while also making him pay for the demolition cost.
Property worth 39.80 crore has been freed from illegal possession of Ansari's relatives and 33 weapons have been deposited in different jails after their license has been suspended.
Illegal property belonging to his relatives and associates is being identified and marked and 17 mafias have been identified and marked. These include three alcohol mafias, three cow smuggling and criminal mafias.
