  • The city of Agra saw some relief on Thursday after it was confirmed that seven out of the eight Covid-19 patients have recovered.

According to a tweet from Agra’s District Magistrate Prabhu N Singh, 1,222 people have been advised home quarantine and are now being monitored. He also added that 21 samples were taken.

According to this report, members from a businessman's family had been admitted to the Safdarjung Hospital in New Delhi.

It was reported that health authorities had then screened more than 150 people for having come in contact with the Agra businessman. The one patient remaining under treatment from Agra is the daughter of a railway employee. She had returned from abroad.

Meanwhile, a report on News18 website points out that family members of a junior doctor working at King George's Medical University (KGMU) tested positive for coronavirus after the doctor himself was tested positive.

This takes the figure of Covid-19 patients in Lucknow to eight, according to the same report.

These include one patient from Lakhimpurkhiri who is said to have returned from Turkey.

According to the same report, a watch is being kept on the members of a team of doctors treating Covid-19 patients after samples of two in the team were taken after they showed symptoms. The samples tested negative.

The number of positive cases in Uttar Pradesh now stands at 19 — including four cases in Noida and two in Ghaziabad.
