According to a nationwide study, Canada was the most-searched country among Indian students looking to do an MBA from a foreign university with an average monthly search volume of 10K in 2018, reports India Today.
Australia and Germany both had 4K searches to their account each. The keyword 'MBA in Canada' is increasingly being searched for in India, with average monthly search volume rising from 4K in 2015 to 10K in 2018, a rise of 150 per cent in three years.
The report titled 'Education Study' was published by SEMrush, an online visibility management and content marketing SaaS platform.
“The strong bilateral relations between India and Canada, and quality of higher education offered by Canada will help in the evolution of a skilled workforce & proficient business experts in India”.
“The keyword 'What is MBA' also registered double growth in search volume and reached from the average search volume of 5K in 2015 to 10K in 2018. This is a clear sign that people are eagerly taking up business studies to build their career,” said Rohan Ayyar, Regional Marketing Manager India, SEMrush.
But Engineers More Employable
According to the India Skill Report 2019, engineering skills and courses continue to be the best guarantors of employability in India when compared to other degrees like Master of Business Administration (MBA).
The survey which was based on the work, employability and skills test taken by over 3 lakh students this year (2018), noted that the employability of MBA has dropped by over three percentage points. This has led to a widening difference in employability between engineering graduates (57.1 per cent) and MBA students (36.4 per cent).
