Prime Minister Narendra Modi boosted the morale of ISRO scientists after Chandrayaan 2’s Vikram Lander lost contact with the control room.
“There are ups and downs in life. This is not a small achievement. Hope for the best. The whole nation is proud of you. I congratulate you for your service. I am fully backing you. I believe that we will bounce back, wish you all the best”, said Prime Minister Modi while addressing ISRO scientists.
Prime Minister Modi also consoled top ISRO officials including chief K Sivan and urged them to be courageous.
After the communication loss ISRO Chief K Sivan had appraised Prime Minister Narendra Modi - who was also present at the control centre in Bengaluru.
He also made an official announcement that the performance was normal till about 2.1 KM above earth’s surface, following which communication was lost. He added that ISRO would now analyse all the flight data.
