Coming Soon, Tata Sky’s Six ‘Packs’: DTH Provider To Roll Out Two Sports, Four Regional Channels Packs From 23 April

Tata Sky, which is a major Direct to Home (DTH) player in Indian market, is rolling out new packs starting at Rs 139 to grab customer’s attention in the wake of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India’s (TRAI) new tarrif regime coming into picture, reports Indian Television.
According to the report, Tata Sky is rolling out six new packs with effect from 23 April 2019. The new pack-launch will consists of two sport channels packs and four regional channel packs for Gujarati and Odia.
The Sports pack, comprising of 13 channels, is reportedly priced at Rs 139 while the Sports HD pack, with 13 channels, will cost Rs 181. The regional packs includes Gujarati Lite (66 channels) and Gujarati Lite HD (68 channels) packs, which are priced at Rs 146 and Rs 239 respectively. On the other hand, Odia lite (62 channels) and Odia lite HD (64 channels) have been respectively priced at Rs 167 and Rs 262.
As reported by Swarajya, Tata Sky had earlier launched smart packs with a varying number of channels with different price points. The packs include Hindi Smart plan, Punjabi Smart plan, Telugu Smart plan, Kannada Smart plan, Gujarati Smart plan and Malayalam Smart plan, which are priced at Rs 249.
