Bracing up for upcoming price wars in the direct to home services (DTH) market, Tata Sky has launched new smart packs across vernacular languages for its subscribers, reports Gizbot.
The DTH giant has come with a slew of regional packs, bundled with a few pay channels that are now appearing on the app, thereby allowing subscribers to opt for the same.
Priced at Rs 199, each language pack will have a different number of channels. For instance, the Telugu Lite pack priced at Rs. 199 will bundle 17 channels while the Tamil Lite pack has 10 channels and the Kannada Lite packs 21 channels.
Apart from these, there are Smart packs with a varying number of channels with different price points. The Hindi Smart plan, Punjabi Smart plan, Telugu Smart plan, Kannada Smart plan, Gujarati Smart plan and Malayalam Smart plan are priced at Rs 249.
As a replacement to the long term plans offered by the rival players, Tata Sky is also offering Annual Flexi Plans and mini packs at lower prices.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
