In a debate on Times Now Raju said that, “While I agree to the fact that conversions are happening in a big way...”.
The MP though claimed that the state government is not supporting these conversions and that they were also happening in the past.
“It is the money power of the Christian missionaries which they are able to pump in from abroad and build churches”, added Raju.
When the news anchor questioned what the government is doing to curb such illegal conversions happening via monetary inducements, he replied that such acts are happening throughout the country and asked what his government is supposed to do.
The YSRCP MP also hinted that missionaries silently go at night at colonies to preach their religious messages in a bid to convert the locals.
