West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee Injured In Car Accident On Way To Kolkata

West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee reportedly got injured in a minor car accident while returning from Bardhaman to Kolkata on Wednesday (24 January).
Banerjee, who had reportedly gone to East Bardhaman by helicopter to address an administrative meeting, did not return by the chopper due to bad weather.

"West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee got an injury on her forehead while returning from Burdwan to Kolkata by road after her car immediately applied brakes as another car suddenly came in front of the CM's convoy," ANI reported.
Banerjee, who was seated in front beside the driver, was injured after her head hit the windscreen, PTI reported citing an official.
The Trinamool chief suffered minor injuries to her head and is being brought back to Kolkata.
