BSF Foils Narcotics Smuggling Attempt In Jammu, Neutralises Pakistani Smuggler

A narcotics smuggler from Pakistan was killed by the BSF along the international border in Ramgarh sector of Samba district in Jammu and Kashmir on the intervening night of 24 and 25 July.
According to a senior BSF official, the intruder was found to be carrying four packets of suspected narcotics weighing a total of 4 kg, reports Indian Express.
The body of the smuggler has been recovered, confirmed the official.
Ongoing searches are being conducted in the area to ensure no other smugglers or illegal substances are present.
"During night intervening 24/25 July 2023, vigilant BSF troops neutralised a Pak smuggler while he was trying to smuggle narcotics through Ramgarh border area," BSF said in a tweet.
"During initial search of the area 04 packets of suspected Narcotics (weighing nearly 4 kgs) were found alongwith the dead body of the Pak smuggler," it added.
