In Bihar, a horrifying incident unfolded where a Dalit woman endured a brutal assault and humiliation after refusing to pay additional interest on a loan her husband had obtained from a local influential figure in their village.

The husband had borrowed Rs 1,500 from Pramod Singh, a powerful individual in Mosimpur village, located in Patna district. Despite repaying the entire loan, Pramod Singh persistently demanded further interest.

When the couple declined to comply with his demands, Pramod Singh, along with his son and their associates, subjected the woman to a vicious attack, during which they allegedly stripped her naked.

The police report revealed that the assault was further compounded by Pramod Singh's son urinating in her mouth, NDTV reported.

According to the woman's statement, Pramod, his son Anshu, and four others forcibly abducted her on Saturday (23 September) night while she was outside her home, merely fetching water from a handpump.

At an isolated location within the village, they ruthlessly beat her with sticks before stripping her naked. Subsequently, Pramod Singh instructed Anshu to engage in the degrading act of urination.

Miraculously, the woman managed to escape. Her family, concerned about her absence, embarked on a search around midnight and found her returning home while still unclothed.

The woman suffered severe head injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital, as reported by the police.

A formal complaint has been registered under the SC/ST Act, and a manhunt is underway to apprehend the six individuals involved in this horrific incident.

According to Amar Ujala, the district police officials in Fatuha have stated that the allegations of urinating upon and stripping the woman naked are initially proving to be untrue.

They have mentioned that a case has been registered under the SC/ST category at the Khusrupur police station based on the woman's complaint. Recognising the seriousness of the incident, the police have established a camp in the village.
