Aashish Chandorkar And Suraj Sudhir's New Book On India's Covid-19 Vaccine Journey Set For Early January Release

Aashish Chandorkar, a well-known public policy commentator and contributor to Swarajya, is set to release a new book on India's successful efforts to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, including the development and distribution of vaccines.

The book, titled "Braving A Viral Storm: India's Covid-19 Vaccine Story" was co-authored by Chandorkar and Suraj Sudhir, another contributor to Swarajya.

In the book, the authors used data to recount the story of India’s fortitude and collective resolve to fight the pandemic.

Chandorkar took to Twitter to unveil the cover of the book, saying it tells the story of India's achievements in overcoming great odds.

He added that the book will be available "online, in stores and on Kindle early January".

Sudhir, the co-author, added that the book was the result of "many months of effort collecting data and insights" and shares a story that "needed to be told."


Chandorkar, who has extensive experience in the field of business and technology transformation, was appointed as a counselor in India's Permanent Mission to the World Trade Organization for three years.

He is also the co-founder of the Smahi Foundation, a public policy and research organization that focuses on governance, entrepreneurship, and technology.

In addition to his work as a policy commentator, Chandorkar is also a frequent host of Bharatvaarta, a popular Indian podcast platform that specialises in long-form discussions on issues of policy, politics, and culture.

With 21 years of experience as a management consultant and a background in global firms, Chandorkar has worked on business and technology transformation projects for clients across a range of industries and geographical locations.

He has also written extensively on policy issues in the domains of trade, business, technology, economics, and politics, and recently authored a report on Indian metro systems analysing the growth of such systems in Indian cities and the implementation lessons that can be learned from previous projects.
