Weekend Video: Talks on Building Swarajya - The Ecosystem And The Organisation
At a get-together held last month, four personalities intimately involved with Swarajya spoke to an audience about their vision, role and thoughts on building Swarajya. We present two of the talks connected with building an intellectual ecosystem and building the Swarajya organisation here.
Building An Intellectual Ecosystem
Hari Kiran Vadlamani, founder of Indic Academy and Advaita Academy, spoke about how to seed, nurture and slowly develop a wide group of bloggers, thinkers and academics on the right side of the political spectrum. He hopes to do this by promoting scholarship in Indology and grooming Public Intellectuals . He has recently started supporting 15 scholars studying traditional shastras in a unique open university model named “Tenali’ model.
He is also in the process of tying up with Indic institutions to support non traditional scholars keen on pursuing an academic career in Indology both in India and abroad. Another initiative is the Indic Book club where a selected group of 100 plus Public Intellectuals are sent books periodically on various topics covering various civilisational issues. Using technology platforms for conducting online courses and providing access to world class research databases he hopes to turn the narrative to one that is backed with academic rigour.
He is also working on a 3 month course on Traditional Indic Knowledge systems for 12 standard students to connect back to their past before they set out on their careers.

Building Lasting Organisations
A feature is not a product, a product is not a business, a business is not a company, a company is not an organisation. At each stage there is a log-scale of changes that takes place. An organisation is one that has an enduring impact, way behond the transient nature of a company. It leaves behind a legacy that transcends the material.
When we speak of Swarajya – it implies a sense of self, what is it that is a sense of self that is going to ensure there is an organisation like capability to deliver the Indian dream.
