Tamil Nadu: Chief Minister MK Stalin Led Delegation To Visit Singapore And Japan To Attract Investments

A delegation from the state, led by Chief Minister MK Stalin will leave for Singapore and Japan today (23 May). Newly inducted Industries Minister TRB Rajaa is also part of the delegation.

The purpose of the visit is to attract investments from new as well as existing players in the state and invite them to the Global Investors’ Meet, which is to be held in January 2024.

In Singapore, the delegation is expected to meet S Iswaran, who is the Minister for Transport, Minister-in-Charge of Trade Relations, Law Minister K Shanmugam, and officials from companies like Temasek and Sembcorp.


Earlier this month, Mitsubishi Electric India, a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, Japan, signed an MoU with the Tamil Nadu government to establish a production unit for Room Air Conditioners (RAC) and compressors near Gummidipoondi in the Tiruvallur district.
