Telefónica Germany, a major integrated telecommunications provider in Germany, has selected Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to transform its end to end service assurance applications and processes within its Operations Support Systems (OSS) stack and further enhance customer experience.
Towards realizing this vision, TCS will leverage best-in-class methodologies – Agile, DevOps, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment, and Continuous Testing (CI/CD/CT) framework and its deep cloud expertise to modernise the OSS service assurance application estate using cloud-native technologies and AI/ML to predict and pre-empt network faults, the company said in a statement on Monday (20 February).
According to the statement, this will enable Telefónica Germany to implement zero-touch cloud-based operations and provide consumers with a more resilient network service.
The reimagined service assurance processes will result in faster turnaround times and a transformed customer experience, the statement said.
Mallik Rao, chief technology and information officer at Telefónica Germany, expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating that Telefónica Germany's technology and innovation leadership, combined with TCS's domain competencies and digital capabilities, will enhance the company's digital transformation towards becoming the 'best Telefónica ever'.
V Rajanna, global head of communications, media, and technology business at TCS, expressed delight at the partnership and emphasised that TCS's deep contextual knowledge, proven digital transformation capabilities, and partner ecosystem would drive Telefónica Germany's transformation.
TCS has been present in Germany since 1991 and partners with over 100 leading German corporations in their growth and transformation journeys.
