In a significant move, Maryan Apparel Private Limited, a Kerala-based clothing company, has decided to halt the production of uniforms for the Israel police, until peace is restored in the conflict-ridden region, as reported by Indian Express.

Located in the state-owned industrial growth centre at Koothuparamba in Kannur, the company formally announced its decision to cease accepting orders for Israel police uniforms.

As stated by the company this choice is rooted in recent events, including the bombing of a hospital and the tragic loss of numerous innocent lives.

Maryan Apparel Private Limited has clarified that its decision to suspend uniform production for the Israel police is driven by moral considerations.

They intend to resume manufacturing these uniforms once peace is re-established in the region.

Thomas Olickal, the company's managing director, expressed their stance, saying, "We will honor the commitments we made to them and acknowledge the loss of innocent lives on both sides. We hope that peace can be restored soon for the sake of harmony."

Tensions in the Israel-Palestine conflict have escalated following a surprise attack launched by Hamas terrorists from the Gaza Strip, earlier this month.

The clothing company's decision underscores the impact of the ongoing conflict on global business relations and ethical considerations.
