UP: India's Largest Robot Manufacturing Unit Inaugurated In Greater Noida; To Generate Over 3,000 High-Skill Jobs

Addverb, a global robotics and automation company, launched its second greenfield robot manufacturing factory, Bot-Verse, on Sunday (25 June).

The factory, which is spread over 15 acres in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, is likely to generate more than 3,000 highly skilled jobs for the country's youth.

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the factory on Sunday.

Known as Bot-Verse, Addverb's second plant in Uttar Pradesh was built at a cost of Rs 200 crore within three years of the first.

The company also recently opened a Software Development Centre in Noida, which provides value-added software for warehouse robotics and material-handling solutions to global clients.

Bot-Verse, which is spread over 600,000 sq ft, has a manufacturing capacity of 100,000 robots a year of different specifications and categories.

According to the company, this is a unit where "robots will make robots", reports Business Standard.

The company also said that it is India's largest robot manufacturing unit.

"The establishment of this plant in India will contribute to enhancing the country's robotics ecosystem, fostering innovation, and positioning India as a prominent player in the global robotics industry, driving technological advancements and economic growth. It also aligns with the Uttar Pradesh government's vision of industrialisation-led growth," said Jalaj Dani, chairman of Addverb.

Addverb's CEO, Sangeet Kumar, stated that the company's new facility will establish them as a global robot manufacturing giant and contribute to the development of a robotics ecosystem in India.

The facility will deliver cutting-edge software and robust hardware systems to create a mix of innovative fixed and flexible automation solutions.

Kumar added that Bot-Verse, the company's one-of-a-kind mobile robot manufacturing facility, aims to meet the global demand for robots and help in expanding Addverb's presence in Australia, Singapore, Dubai, the US, and Europe.

Addverb operationalised its first robot manufacturing facility, Bot-Valley, in UP in March 2021, less than 18 months from land allotment, despite the Covid pandemic and nationwide lockdowns.

Since its inception in 2016, Addverb has generated revenue of more than Rs 1,200 crore and aims to become a billion-dollar revenue company by 2027, contributing to the goal of making UP a $1 trillion economy.

Addverb already runs one manufacturing facility in Noida, which can support a turnover of Rs 1,000 crore and has the capacity to produce 50,000 robots.

With the launch of the second facility in Noida, the company's robot-manufacturing capacity will increase to over 1 lakh units annually, with its revenue generating potential rising to Rs 6,000 crore.

The Reliance Industries-backed robotics company is also planning to venture into hospital automation with the launch of four products by the end of this financial year.

Addverb CEO Sangeet Kumar had informed that the initial offering in hospital automation includes haptic sensors, which serve as joysticks enabling doctors to maneuver robots with precision, and a collaborative robot (cobot) designed primarily for lower limb rehabilitation, reports The Hindu Businessline.

Further, the company is reportedly developing exoskeleton for the upper limb, providing wearable robotic assistance.

In terms of sanitisation and disinfection, the company already offers a mobile robot equipped with a UV unit, and medical-focused products catering specifically to healthcare applications.

It will start the sale of these products in the country, and eventually launch them in international markets.
