In a significant development for the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, a total of 42 bells, meticulously crafted in Namakkal district, were sent to Bengaluru after undergoing special pujas on Thursday (14 December).
The bells set to depart for Ayodhya on Friday (15 December), weighing a total of 1,200 kg, are part of a larger order for 48 bells commissioned by a devoted individual from Bengaluru.
The bells were manufactured at Andal Moulding Works, a unit located on Mohanur Road in Namakkal district, known for its expertise in the art of bell-making, reported The Hindu.
To facilitate the crafting process, Prasad provided all necessary materials, including silver, copper, and bronze.
The bells exhibit varying weights, with five weighing 120 kg each, six weighing 70 kg each, and one weighing 25 kg.
The consecration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is scheduled for January 2024, and these finely crafted bells from Namakkal will play a significant role in enhancing the spiritual ambience of the sacred space.
