May 2: Congress President tried to create conflicts between Shiv and Ram Bhakts, PM Modi in Gujarat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed massive rallies in Gujarat's Anand, Surendranagar, Junagadh, and Jamnagar.

Stressing on the robust and last-mile delivery of developmental initiatives, PM Modi said, "Congress provided water to only 16% of households in 60 years and we raised it to 75% in 10 years."

"The country that exports terror is struggling to import 'Atta'," said PM Modi. He added, "this same country's reign of terror was prominent during Congress times, but our government's all-round development model has kept it at bay... Congress' deep partnership & collaboration with Pakistan has been exposed."

Here are other key highlights from his rallies in Gujarat:

- "India's enemies hope for a weak government that existed before 2014... enemies of India wanted a government that existed during India's 26/11 terror attack... enemies of India wished for a corrupt government in India... Today, India is a bright spot in the global economy and a 'Vishwamitra'."

- "Congress is selling lies from its 'Mohabbat ki Dukaan'... It has resorted to lies while subscribing to the ideals of the 'Muslim League' in the Manifesto. Congress has only made false promises for 'Garibi Hatao'."

- "Congress has only indulged in 'Minority vote-bank' politics... INDI Alliance aims for 'Vote Jihad' in India... this is a dangerous tendency as, on the one hand, they wish to promote reservations to minorities at the cost of SC-ST-OBCs, and on the other hand, they wish to do a 'Vote Jihad'."

- "Congress has been anti-OBC since the 1990s and even opposed the constitutional status to OBC Commission... BJP has always enabled 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas'... Hence, our Central Ministries constitute 60% of Ministers from the SC-ST-OBC communities."

- "I have three challenges for the Congress... First, they must not indulge in religion-based reservations disregarding the Constitution.. Second, they must not reduce the reservations meant for the SC-ST-OBCs.. Third, they must not play the card of appeasement politics in any state of India."

- "Congress 'Report Card' is a 'Report Card' of scams... their record is a replete of scams be it 2G, CAG, Commonwealth and Chopper scam... BJP's report record was synonymous with unprecedented development. He added that our report card has actually shown the reduction of poverty empowering all."

- "Congress in its frustration of loss has divided the Indian society... their appeasement-politics also makes them against century-old traditions... Congress even boycotted the Pran-Pratishtha of Shri Ram in Ayodhya... Congress aims to create a conflict between 'Ram Bhakti & Shiv Bhakti'... Congress president tried to create conflicts between Shiv and Ram Bhakts."

People At PM Modi's Rally In Gujarat

- "Congress opposes abrogation of Article 370 and CAA to enable divisive politics... it aims to divide India into North and South. He said that Congress aims to keep India insecure to play its power politics."

- "We have always aimed to develop a robust coastal infrastructure in Gujarat... keeping with the coastal economy we have developed a huge harbor in Gujarat that will also enable trade and connectivity. This has also been coupled with better production and processing facilities for our fishermen."

- "I is due to the efforts of Maharja Digvijay Singh of Jamnagar that India has great relations with Poland... Maharaja Digvijay Singh gave safe haven to Polish citizens fleeing the country owing to World War-2."

- "I have been receiving special affection from Jam Saheb. The kings and emperors of our country had sacrificed their lives for generations to create a united India. This country can never forget his contribution."

- "Jamnagar today hosts the WHO for Global Traditional Medicine and is the world’s largest refineries hub... the Sauni Yojana has played a pivotal role in enabling ‘Har Ghar Jal’ and ‘Har Khet ko Pani’ in the various areas of Jamnagar and the adjoining areas."

PM Modi In Gujarat

May 1: "As long as Modi is alive, no one can take away ST-SC-OBC reservation"

Marking Gujarat's Foundation Day, PM Narendra Modi addressed public meetings in Banaskantha and Sabarkantha, Gujarat.

He began his speech by expressing gratitude and seeking blessings for his third term in the central government, stressing on Gujarat's unparalleled role in his political journey.

PM lauded Gujarat's people for not letting short-term temptations affect the political stability which has been instrumental in state's progress.

Training guns at Congress, he said, "Even today Congress neither has issues nor the passion to work for the people. Do you remember, what were the issues of Congress in 2014? What will a 'Chaiwala' do? But the country gave them a reply... Those who once had 400 seats were reduced to 40."

PM Modi reaffirmed his and BJP's commitment to social justice for all sections of society including the interests of ST-SC-OBC communities by preventing any attempt to politicize reservations based on religion.

"The party which ruled the country for 60 years has become a fake factory. What they called 'Mohabbat Ki Dukan' is actually a fake factory. Congress' videos are fake, Congress' words are fake, Congress' promises are fake, Congress' slogans are fake, Congress intentions are fake," he said the Prime Minister.

Encouraging people to vote in large numbers, he said, "Remember, first voting, then feasting."

"If your love hasn't changed, how can Modi change?" asked PM Modi while reminiscing over the timeless and decades-old bond between him and the people of Sabarkantha.

"The Congress scared the country that if Article 370 is removed, there will be chaos. Article 370 is history now, and there is no chaos in the country. And the tricolor is flying high at Lal Chowk," he said while also stressing on other historic decisions on triple talaq, CAA, counter terrorism,

Attacking Congress, he said, "The situation of the Congress, which ruled for 60 years, is very worrying. They are openly trying to divide the country. The only strategy of Congress and its INDI alliance is to spread lawlessness and instability in the country. They want to set the country on fire, no matter what, to defame Modi."

"They did the same during the biggest disaster in the country, the Corona pandemic. Their COVID mission failed, their vaccination mission failed, so they tried to set the country on fire. When we brought the CAA law, they tried to set the country on fire again."

"The young voters casting their votes for the first time this time don't have the experience of those old days. When Congress was ruling, for those whose parents sent them out, electricity, water, school, everything was just a dream," he said addressing the youth.

"From Ambaji to Umargam, there were no schools for science education in the entire tribal area. Today, see, there are schools everywhere. There are medical colleges. There is adequate electricity available now."

April 30: "Industrialists and contractors in Telangana are required to pay RR tax which ends up in Delhi," PM Modi in Zaheerabad

PM shared his vision for 'Viksit Telangana' and 'Viksit Bharat' while addressing a rally in Telangana's Zaheerabad, "In the last 10 years, the country has seen how a stable and decisive NDA government can take the country forward."

"There was a time when the world was progressing, but Congress had trapped India in the quagmire of corruption. The world was making economic progress, but India was a victim of policy paralysis," he said.

PM praised the Telugu film industry and blockbuster films like RRR and went on to attack the Telangana Congress saying that it had "burdened the state's people with RR Tax."

"Film RRR brought India's name to the forefront worldwide. But this RR tax is bringing shame to India. There is widespread discussion about this RR tax in Telangana. It is alleged that industrialists and contractors in Telangana are required to pay a certain percentage of RR tax."

Alluding to Telangana CM Revanth Reddy, Modi pointed out, "it is claimed that a significant portion of the total collection here goes to Delhi as RR tax. I know you all are troubled by this RR Tax. I don't need to delve into further detail. The public is now questioning: Who is this 'R', and where does this R-tax end up in Delhi?"

Taking on Congress on the issue of inheritance tax, he stated that "Congress has found a new way to loot you - inheritance tax. Under their rule, 55 per cent of your lifetime earnings won't go to your children, but to their vote bank."

Calling Congress and BRS two sides of the same corruption coin, he said, "BRS looted Telangana, now Congress is following suit. They're suppressing files of the Kaleshwaram scam they once promised to investigate... in the Delhi liquor scam, BRS members were involved with a party allied with Congress (AAP)."

Calling his government strong, decisive, and patriotic for constructing a grand Ram temple in Ayodhya, PM Modi highlighted that "your one vote can create history."

"For Congress, their vote bank is paramount, and the faith of those outside their vote bank doesn't matter to them. That's why efforts are being made to ban our festivals here in Telangana. Even Ram Navami processions are being banned to appease the vote bank."

Attacking Congress over religion based reservations, he said "in Telangana, people of the Lingayat and Maratha community are demanding to be included in the BC (Backward Category), but the Congress does not want to include the Lingayat, Maratha, and the 26 castes into the BC list, but they included Muslims in the BC list overnight."

"They made Andhra Pradesh a laboratory of appeasement, removing the reservation rights of BCs and giving them to Muslims. This unconstitutional act, reservation based on religion, goes against Baba Saheb's sentiments."

Accusing Congress of "activating their dirty tricks department, spreading fake videos across the country," PM Modi said, "Telangana Congress and the Chief Minister himself are implicated in this."

Crowd At PM Modi's Rally In Telangana

April 30: Congress is busy scaring people in the name of democracy, constitution, reservation using fake videos

Continuing his campaign trail in Maharashtra from the previous day, PM Modi held rallies in Madha, Dharashiv, and Latur.

"Your love is my wealth. In the last decade, Modi has dedicated every particle of his being and every moment of his time to serving you," said PM Modi.

Highlighting the contrast in Congress' rule of 60 years and his 10 years, PM Modi hit out at the grand old party saying, "Congress promised to eradicate poverty for 60 years, Modi has lifted 25 crore people out of poverty in just a decade."

PM Modi addressed the issue of water scarcity of people of Vidarbha and Marathwada, "despite 60 years of Congress rule, basic needs like water remained unmet. In 2014, 99 long-pending irrigation schemes, 26 of which were from Maharashtra, were finally addressed after decades of neglect."

Modi highlighted that out of the 99 irrigation projects initiated by the Congress, 63 projects have been completed under his government.

Prime Minister then focused on Maharashtra's rich legacy of successful cooperatives, "Maharashtra has seen remarkable contributions from its sugar cooperatives in empowering farmers." he said.

"To expand the cooperative movement across the nation's rural landscape, a separate Ministry for Cooperation was established in 2019, aiming to form 10,000 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), of which 8,000 are already operational. The government aims to establish 2 lakh cooperative societies in the next 5 years."

On storage woes of small farmers, PM Modi said that small farmers often struggle due to inadequate storage facilities which forced them to sell their produce at lower prices and "to address this, we've initiated the world's largest grain storage scheme, with cooperative institutions taking the lead."

"In the next 5 years, special storage clusters will be established across the country, benefiting onion farmers in Maharashtra."

PM then talked about Gobar Dhan Yojana, solar energy using PM Kusum Yojana, PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana and said, "use free electricity, sell surplus to the government, zero bills, earn from electricity, that's Modi's guarantee."

"Why did it take 75 years for a task that should have been done immediately after independence?" asked PM Modi questioning the opposition on delay in the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

"Congress lacks faith in Ram and the courage required for such a task. We have shown the courage needed for this. That's why the 500-year wait has ended. This happens when you have the power of your vote."

PM Modi accused Congress of singing songs of peace while terrorists attacked India and fled. He asked, "How could a weak government strengthen the country?"

Attacking the opposition on corruption, PM asked, "Those whose scams I've halted, will they not be furious with Modi? Will they not hurl abuses at him?"

"They're busy scaring you, sometimes in the name of democracy, sometimes in the name of the Constitution, sometimes in the name of reservation."

Cautioning against the menace of fake videos doing rounds, Modi said, "now they've even opened a shop for fake videos. Serious allegations have been made against the Congress and its members for creating fake videos. I ask you, should the shops of those selling such lies be closed or not?"

Saying that "Congress will X-ray your house and everything inside," PM Modi warned "they're preparing to raid your houses and lands and distribute half of it among their vote bank. This is dangerous!"

"Congress intends to snatch the jewellery and Mangalsutras of our mothers and sisters and give them to their vote bank. Is this acceptable to the women here?" he asked.

He then juxtaposed the BJP era and the time before, "earlier, India handed dossiers to Pakistan, now it conducts surgical strikes. Under Congress rule, the economy was in shambles, with headlines lamenting falling growth rates and GDP figures. Every day brought news of a new scam. But now, corrupt individuals are behind bars, and headlines report on the recovery of large sums of illicit money. India's transformation is evident."

PM Modi In Maharashtra

April 29: "Even if Baba Saheb himself came to end reservations by changing Constitution, it would not happen," Modi in Maharashtra

After Karnataka, PM Modi's campaign trail reached Maharashtra's Solapur, Satara, and Pune.

"Despite their tainted history, Congress is once again dreaming of seizing power in the country," said PM Modi, "In this election, you will choose the guarantee of development for the next 5 years... but on the other hand, there are those who plunged the country into the abyss of corruption, terrorism, and misrule before 2014."

He cautioned the people on INDI Alliance's '5 Years, 5 PMs' formula and contrasted it with his governance saying that Modi has been tested for 10 years but "within the INDI coalition, there's a fierce battle going on in the name of the leader."

Highlighting various power centers within the INDI alliance, he said, "You might have heard, the fake Shiv Sena has said that the Prime Minister's post is not limited to one, there are several claimants in every party. Can you tell me, can the country function with a formula like 5 years, 5 PMs?"

PM Modi In Maharashtra

Here are other key highlights from his speeches:

- "In its 60 years, the Congress continuously attempted to hinder every right of the SC/ST/OBC categories... But Modi's connection with you is from the heart."

- "We have accorded constitutional status to the OBC Commission. Reservation for OBCs has been implemented in medical exams. It is the BJP that has extended reservations for SC/ST for 10 years."

- "Without taking away anyone's rights, we have also provided 10% reservation to the poor. In medical and engineering studies, we have provided options for Indian languages like Marathi, so that the dreams of poor, SC/ST/OBC youths can also be fulfilled."

- "For decades, the way Congress betrayed SC/ST/OBC communities, they have completely distanced themselves from both Congress and the INDI-Agadhi."

- "These people are continuously spreading lies that we will change the Constitution, end reservations. I have already said that even if Baba Saheb himself came and said to end reservations, change the Constitution, it would not happen."

- "If our government's intention was to end reservations, then we already have enough numbers. Today, I am demanding more seats from the country so that I have more power to destroy the conspiracies of Congress and the INDI-Agadhi."

- "Free ration, free healthcare, pucca houses, toilets, electricity, gas, water — all of these have predominantly reached the most deprived sections of society. Our government has reached every household, every village to connect SC/ST/OBC families with these schemes."

- "By implementing Article 370, Congress didn't let Baba Saheb's Constitution be implemented in Jammu and Kashmir and insulted the country's Constitution. When the NDA government removed Article 370, it became the biggest guarantee of social justice."

- "Country gained independence in 1947, but Congress allowed the mentality of slavery to flourish... For so many years, the flag of Britishers was reflected in the flag of independent India's navy. NDA government removed the British flag and placed the symbol of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in our navy's flag."

- "I have been a strong supporter of technology. However, people who cannot engage in direct political battles with BJP, NDA, are now spreading fake videos on social media."

- "These people are misusing AI to spread false information by mimicking my voice or that of my colleagues. You need to be very cautious of such news, videos, and messages."

- "If you receive any such video, any image on WhatsApp, or see it on any social media platform, you should immediately inform the police or the party. Strong action will be taken against such people."

- "Congress’s Shehzaada has brought an X-ray machine. He publicly says that after their government is formed, they will conduct an X-ray of the country and they will examine your wealth and distribute it amongst their vote bank."

- "Modi has ensured to make 3 crore ‘Lakhpati Didi’. However, if the Congress’s Shehzaada comes to power, Congress will not spare the earnings of mothers and sisters, nor will they spare their jewelry."

PM Modi with Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, and Deputy CMs Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar

April 29: Congress is running an extortion racket in Karnataka, has reduced the 'Tech Hub' to 'Tanker Hub, Modi in Bagalkote

PM Modi began his speech in Karnataka's Bagalkote by reiterating his resolve to "make India a manufacturing hub and skill centre".

He said, "only those whose vision is – 24/7 for 2047 can fulfil this resolution. That is why today the whole country is saying – Phir Ek Baar, Modi Sarkar!"

Expressing country's distrust over Congress, Modi stated that its "only agenda is to plunder the nation when in power".

"In its 60 years of rule, the Congress has forged its own identity. It has turned Karnataka into an ATM for its corruption," he added, "in such a short time, they have emptied the state treasury. MLAs are unable to access funds for development on time".

"Where Congress goes, destruction follows," declared Modi, "Congress party isn't running the government; it's operating an extortion racket in Karnataka. Entire administration is preoccupied with extorting money, and funneling it into their coffers, only to siphon it off for their own gain".

PM Modi took a dig at Congress' mishandling of water crisis in Karnataka, "Our once renowned Tech Hub, Karnataka, and Bengaluru, have been reduced to 'Tanker Hub' by the Congress government."

"The tanker mafia is extorting money from people for water, with a share of the commission finding its way into the pockets of Congress members."

PM Modi explained that before he came to power, 18000 villages with crores of people were deprived of electricity in the 21st century.

"As night fell, silence engulfed these villages, with the constant danger from animals looming... for generations, children didn't even have light to study," he added "but Modi made a promise - to provide electricity to every village in the country."

PM Modi also ripped into the opposition over Hubballi murder incident, attack on a shopkeeper for listening to Hanuman Chalisa, and Bengaluru cafe blast, saying that Congress was "promoting an anti-social and anti-national mindset".

He pointed out that this "reflects the mentality of terrorism and extremism" and that "Congress is promoting this mentality solely to gain votes".

"Congress has initiated a campaign to amend the constitution and strip away the rights of SC/ST/OBC communities," he said, "Karnataka government has allocated a portion of OBC reservation to Muslims. They had previously mentioned in their manifesto about making laws to provide reservation based on religion".

PM Modi's Rally In Bagalkote

April 28: Shehzaada criticises Raja-Maharajas, but not the Nizams-Nawabs-Sultans, says PM Modi in Karnataka

PM Modi addressed marathon rallies in Karnataka's Belagavi, Uttara Kannada, Davanagere, and Ballari in a single day.

Attacking the Congress, PM Modi said, "when India progresses, everyone becomes happy. But the Congress has been so indulged in 'Parivarhit' that it gets perturbed by every single developmental stride India makes".

He took the INDI Alliance to task for misleading citizens on EVM-VVPAT issue, saying SC ruling shattered their dreams.

"The Congress lied about HAL. The Congress opposed Made in India COVID vaccine during the pandemic, he added, "Congress tried to defame India's democracy worldwide using EVM bogey... and then the Supreme Court gave them a resounding slap. Congress leaders spread falsehoods about EVMs should apologize to the nation".

PM Modi In Karnataka

- "BJP government removed the colonial laws of the criminal justice system. Now in our 'Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita', we have prioritised justice for our citizens more than punishment."

- "Even when a bomb blast occurred in a café in Bengaluru, the Congress government did not show seriousness initially. This is the same Congress that used terrorist organizations like PFI for votes in elections and defended their actions."

- "Shehzaada's (Rahul Gandhi's) statements are carefully crafted for appeasement. They criticise Rajas and Maharajas, but they don't dare to mention the atrocities committed by the Nizams, Nawabs, and Sultans. Congress does not recall the atrocities of Aurangzeb who destroyed and desecrated hundreds of our temples."

- "Congress’s Shehzaada says that the kings and emperors of India were tyrants, they snatched the land of the poor. He insulted personalities like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Kittur Rani Chennamma. Their governance, their patriotism still inspires all of us."

- "Could Banaras Hindu University have been established without the king of Banaras? Did Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar not rebuild temples and protect our places of worship? The great Gaikwads of Vadodara recognized the talent of Dr. Babasaheb and sent him abroad to study. The Congress does not see their contribution."

- "One of the Congress leaders is talking about conducting an X-ray of people's assets across the country. Whatever you earn, the Mangalsutra, gold, and silver that our mothers and sisters have, Congress wants to seize them and redistribute them among their favourite vote bank."

- "Congress party plans to impose a ‘55% tax on your property.’ This means they'll seize a significant portion of what you leave for your children."

- "A neighbouring country of India (Pakistan), which was a supplier of terrorism, is now struggling for 'aata' (flour)... there was a time when insecurity prevailed everywhere, and now is the time when 'Modi Ghar Me Ghus Kar Maarta Hai."

April 26: PM Modi Campaigns In Bengal's Malda, Bihar's Araria And Munger

PM Narendra Modi criticized the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government in West Bengal over the recent school jobs scam, asserting that approximately 26,000 youths in the state lost their livelihoods due to the party's corruption.

Speaking at a public meeting in Malda in support of BJP Lok Sabha candidates Khagen Murmu and Sreerupa Mitra Chaudhary, PM Modi highlighted the impact of the recruitment scandal, stating, "TMC played with the lives of the youths in Bengal."

PM Modi referenced the recent Calcutta High Court decision to annul the appointments of 25,753 teachers and non-teaching staff recruited through the State Level Selection Test-2016 (SLST) in West Bengal government-sponsored and aided schools.

In his address, PM Modi also targeted the TMC government over various other scandals, alleging widespread corruption.

He highlighted various scams, including the Sharada chit fund scam, the Rose Valley chit fund scam, and the coal smuggling scandal, accusing the TMC of prioritizing corruption over the welfare of the people.

PM Modi further criticized the TMC's stance on national issues, asserting that the party prioritizes appeasement politics over the welfare of citizens.

Apart from West bengal, PM Modi also assured stronger commitment to Bihar at massive rallies in Araria and Munger.

Addressing the gathering at Bihar rally, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support from the people of Araria and Supaul, calling it a source of immense energy and strength for him.

"I assure you that I will work harder to repay this debt of yours," PM Modi said, promising to make bigger decisions in the interest of the nation and its people during his third term.

Attacking Congress on Sandeshkhali, PM Modi said, "When BJP government ended triple talaq to save Muslim sisters from oppression, TMC opposed it. There have been so many inhumane atrocities on women in Sandeshkhali, and the TMC government kept protecting the main accused till the end."

Reflecting on Bihar's historical prosperity and its potential to contribute to India's rise as a global economic powerhouse, PM Modi underscored the state's pivotal role in India's journey towards progress.

"Today, when India is moving towards becoming the third largest economic superpower of the world, Bihar also has a big role in it.," he said.

PM Modi also contrasted the BJP-NDA's commitment to empowering the people with the alleged agenda of the INDI alliance to exploit and oppress them for personal gain.

He delivered scathing remarks on INDI coalition after Supreme Court dismissed petitions advocating for 100 per cent verification of EVMs and VVPATs, "every politician in the INDI Alliance sinned by trying to create doubts in the minds of the nation's citizens."

He further added, "when the Congress, RJD and other INDIA bloc parties were in power, the poor, backwards and Dalits used to be deprived of their votes through booth capture. With the introduction of EVMs, they are no longer able to play their old game. Hence, they committed the sin of creating distrust against EVMs."

PM said that the Supreme Court has delivered such a big blow to those intending to loot the ballot boxes that all their dreams have been shattered.

April 25: As 'Kaamdaars', We're Born To Face The Abuses Of 'Naamdaars', Modi In Uttar Pradesh

PM Modi addressed massive rallies in Agra, Aonla, and Shahjahanpur in Uttar Pradesh ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Prime Minister said, "two boys" from Samajwadi Party and Congress have come together only for the "politics of appeasement".

"You might have forgotten what used to be the slogan during the rule of INDI Alliance... Because these things don't happen in 'Yogi's Raj', he said reminding the people that, "the slogan used to be 'Jo Zameen Sarkari Hai, Wo Zameen Hamari Hai'... And the votebank's government sitting in Lucknow used to bless such slogans."

Talking of Rahul Gandhi's derogatory words for him in a rally, Modi said, "people get upset when such language is used for country's Prime Minister... But I request my well wishers to not be upset with the 'Naamdaar'. As 'Kaamdaars', we're born to face the abuses of 'Naamdaars'."

"Some unnecessary forces oppose India's growing power... Arms brokers, who used to bribe Congress leaders, are furious. They don't want India's army to be Aatmanirbhar. They're united against Modi," he stated.

Slamming the Samajwadi Party and Congress, Modi said, "Not just Ram, they even didn't leave our Shyam... Congress' shehzada even mocked my Dwarka visit. SP dynasts call themselves yaduvanshi but are worshipping those who mock Lord Krishna."

Modi claimed that Congress wants to give OBC reservation to their favoured vote bank. "SP shehzada is silent on Congress' such intentions. He fully endorses this policy," he added.

"Congress and SP have decided to copy foreign's inheritance tax. But foreigners don't even know what is Mangalsutra. Will our mothers and sisters allow them to snatch Mangalsutra?" Modi questioned.

Extending his attack on the issue of inheritance tax, PM said, "Congress-SP and INDI Alliance plan to impose a 55% tax on your inheritance. This means they'll seize a significant portion of what you leave for your children. If you built a 4-room house, only 2 rooms will go to your children, the rest to be seized by Congress-SP."

"I need 400 seats to protect you, to protect your rights. I give a guarantee to the OBC community, Kurmi, Yadav, Maurya, Kushwaha, Jat, Gujjar, Rajbhar and Teli communities to protect reservation," Modi promised.

In Shahjahanpur, Modi highlighted that the town and its surrounding areas are "witnessing significant development under the BJP today" and that "this region suffered greatly under the 'Samajwadi Stop Everything Project' but since Yogi ji took charge, the era of stalled progress has ended, and development is now gaining momentum."

- "Last time, when there was a Congress government in Karnataka, it gave reservations based on religion. When the BJP government came, it revoked this decision. Now once again, Congress has given reservations based on religion in Karnataka."

- "Congress is not stopping at just hurting you. Congress also wants to snatch your property. Even if you have two vehicles, one house in the city, and one in the village, you will still come under Congress's radar. They want to snatch all this from you and give it to their vote bank."

It is said that these people are now thinking about the 'One year, One PM formula'. Their intention now is to wrestle for the PM's chair. One will sit on top, while four people pull the chair's legs together."

You can imagine... in the reign of Congress, even listening to the Hanuman Chalisa is considered a sin."

- "Just a few days ago, we celebrated Ram Navami. For the first time after Congress's departure, a peaceful procession was held. Here's what more he said addressing the people of Aligarh and Hathras:

- "Parties like Congress-SP always practised appeasement politics and never did anything for the political-social-economic upliftment of Muslims."

- "The Congress leader has openly declared that if they come to power, they will investigate everyone's earnings and property. They plan to confiscate property and money as they see fit, based on a survey they conduct. Congress and its allies plan to amend laws to take control of “streedhan”... These people have their eyes on ‘manglasutras’.

- "Congress will use its ‘panja’ (the hand symbol of the party) to steal all your wealth. These family-oriented politicians have amassed vast fortunes by looting the people. They have never shared their wealth with the poor. Now, they have their eyes on the wealth of the people."

- "In the first phase of voting, half of Rajasthan has taught Congress a good lesson. Rajasthan, deeply rooted in patriotism, knows that Congress can never build a strong India."

- "Some Congress leaders have left the Lok Sabha and entered the Rajya Sabha, that too from Rajasthan, as they don't have the courage and confidence to contest elections. They are not even campaigning."

- "Congress has always instilled fear in Dalits, sometimes in tribals, sometimes in minorities. Even today, they are spreading fear about democracy, the constitution, and reservation. But Congress doesn't realize that India has moved beyond all kinds of fear. That's why their lies are not working anymore."

- "ISRO is the organization responsible for launching rocket after rocket in the country. It was ISRO that successfully launched our Chandrayaan. Besides ISRO, there is also a political party here that primarily focuses on launching, and that party is Congress. Congress launches its Shehzaade at regular intervals. While ISRO's launches are celebrated worldwide, Congress has failed to launch its Shehzaade."

"For the first time, the family will not vote for a Congress candidate in the constituency where they live as there is no party candidate there."

PM also mentioned Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan's statements on Rahul Gandhi and his candidature from Wayanad. Despite this, the INDI Alliance boycotted the Pran-Pratishtha of Shri Ram and compared 'Sanatana' with 'Dengue & Malaria'. INDI Alliance termed all people worshipping Shri Ram's Surya Tilak as 'hypocrites'."

You tell me if these people deserve even a single seat?"

- "Those who insult Sanatan should listen carefully - even in the Constituent Assembly, 80-90% members were Sanatanis, and these Sanatanis along with Dr. Ambedkar created such an outstanding Constitution. The leftists, once critical of Congress nepotism, now seek their advice on the matter. United under the INDI Alliance, they fear Modi's crackdown on corruption. Their common target is Modi."

Here are other key highlights from his speech:

- "The Congress, which discriminated against SCs, STs, and OBCs for decades, ended Babasaheb's political career, did not give him Bharat Ratna, and tried to abolish the Constitution by imposing emergency in the country, and is today taking cover of the Constitution to abuse Modi."

- "As far as the Constitution is concerned, take it in writing that even if Babasaheb Ambedkar himself comes, he cannot abolish it. The Constitution is Gita, Ramayana, Mahabharata, Bible, and Quran for the government. For us, the Constitution is everything."

- "Should a country like India, whose neighbours on both sides have nuclear weapons, think about eliminating nuclear weapons? I want to ask the Congress, on whose instructions is your INDI alliance is working? What kind of alliance is this that wants to make India powerless? Under whose pressure does this alliance want to destroy our nuclear power?"

- "The Congress stands with every anti-national force. It ruled for decades but there is not a single major problem of the country for which it gave a complete solution."

- "The Congress gives protection to those who throw stones at Ram Navami processions in Rajasthan and welcomes intruders but opposes CAA which gives citizenship to Dalits and Sikhs who opposed partition."

- "Congress deliberately kept the border villages of the country away from development saying that the enemies could destroy it. It is such a shame. Who dares to capture the border of Barmer? They call border villages the last village but for us the country begins from these first villages."

- "The land of Rajasthan that has sacrificed so much for India has been deprived of water by the Congress party for decades. Through 'Jal Jeevan Mission', our government prioritized drinking water for all and we have provided water to 50 lakh houses in Rajasthan."

- "A refinery of Rs 72000 crore is going to start in Barmer. My brothers and sisters of Barmer, if there was no Congress government here, I would have come and inaugurated it in my second term itself. But I guarantee you that in my third term, I will definitely come to inaugurate the refinery. And the day I come to inaugurate the refinery, I will also come to thank you for this election victory."

- "To increase the income of farmers, we are promoting coarse grains and 'Shree Anna' all over the world. No one even talked about our millets. Only we village people used to eat it. But you will be happy to know that when I went to America and the President hosted a banquet at his home in the White House, all the things prepared for eating at that feast were made from our coarse grains, our millets, and our jowar."

- "Congress President comes to the 'Veerbhumi' (land of brave) Rajasthan and says that if Modi removed 370 from Kashmir, what does it have to do with Rajasthan? You ask the brave men of Rajasthan who took bullets on the border for Kashmir, what does it have to do with Kashmir? Bhikharam Mund, son of this Barmer, sacrificed his life in Kargil. And Congress says what does Kashmir have to do with Rajasthan? In Rajasthan, where Kashmir-born 'Babosa Ramdev Ji' is worshiped in every home, you ask what is Rajasthan's relation with Kashmir? When Kashmiri Hindus were driven out of their homes, Rajasthan had embraced so many of them. And, they ask what relation does Rajasthan have with Kashmir?"

PM Modi’s attack came days after a video of RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav eating non-veg food went viral.

"Congress and INDI alliance do not care about the majority of the country's population. They enjoy toying with people's emotions. These people cook mutton at the home of a convicted criminal during the month of Saawan, and not just that, they even taunt the people of the country by making a video of it," he said.

"The law does not prohibit anyone from eating anything. Everyone has the freedom to eat vegetarian or non-vegetarian food. But the intentions of these people are different. By showing videos during the month of Saawan, they want to taunt people through a Mughal mentality and secure their vote bank," he added.

"They eat non-veg during Navratri and tease people by showing the video. By showing videos of non-veg food during Navratri, by hurting the sentiments of people, whom are they trying to please? Today, after I say this, these people will shower abuse on me," said PM Modi, "however, when things become unbearable, it becomes my duty in a democracy to present the correct perspective of all things to the country".

PM Modi also dared any Opposition party, especially Congress, to bring back Article 370, which was abrogated in 2019. He also added that time is not far for holding Assembly elections and for the restoration of J&K’s statehood.

PM highlighted that after decades, Jammu and Kashmir is finally having a Lok Sabha election without fear of terrorism and threats of cross-border firing.

- He also criticised the Congress for seeking opportunities to profit from jobs for youth, mentioning the emergence of a paper leak industry during their rule. "Congress is such a party that has even sought opportunities for corruption in the employment of the youth. Under the patronage of Congress, a paper leak industry has emerged," he said.

- "Modi had given you a guarantee that if BJP government comes to power in Rajasthan, then paper leak mafia will be seen in jail and Modi fulfilled his guarantee," he added.

- He mentioned the importance of Karauli-Dholpur as a land of devotion and strength, where the legacy of Madan Mohan Ji is revered.

- "The upcoming elections are not just about who will become a Member of Parliament or who will not," Modi declared. "This election is about invigorating a developed India with new energy. - PM Modi highlighted various government schemes, including the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi and other initiatives in agriculture and healthcare. He mentioned the success of the Vande Bharat Mission and the government's efforts to become self-reliant in defense deals.

- Attacking Congress, Modi remarked, "The Congress has a dangerous history and intentions. This is the same Congress that had given away Katchatheevu, an island near Tamil Nadu, to Sri Lanka.

- "Now, Congress shamelessly justifies this anti-national act. Just yesterday, Congress questioned if anyone lives on Katchatheevu. If no one lives there, will you give it away? Is this how one serves the nation? This is their mentality. For them, an empty part of the country is just a piece of land," PM Modi added.

He contrasted this with his governments efforts, stating, "During the Congress regime, the soldiers did not even have bulletproof jackets... - "There is a saying in Marathi that 'striking with sticks doesn't split the water'. Hit the water with sticks any number of times, it will make no difference. So no matter how much these people attack a poor man's son, Modi will not back down from taking steps for the country's development."

- "These (opposition) leaders are trying to divide the country with full force. They know that if everyone in the country is united, their politics will not work." He said that if the INDIA bloc becomes strong, it will tear the country into pieces. "Even today they leave no stone unturned to pit one community against the other," PM Modi said.

- Modi attacked the INDI Alliance for not accepting the invitation for the Ram Mandir's Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya, saying they only criticise Sanatan Dharma. "This year, Lord Ram will be seen in a temple on Ram Navami. But will you let such an alliance win even one seat in Maharashtra? Shouldn't they be punished for their sins," the Prime Minister asked.

- He also alleged that the Congress left the OBC community behind and ended Babasaheb Ambedkar's politics. "Babasaheb was not given the Bharat Ratna, while the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes were not brought into the mainstream by successive Congress governments," PM Modi said.

- "I would like to appeal to the citizens of Maharashtra and the country to unite and vote in the name of the nation... you should vote to strengthen the country's foundation for the next 1,000 years. We want people to vote for a developed India," the Prime Minister said.

- Pointing at the various surveys predicting a landslide victory for the NDA, PM Modi said, "Let me give them a simple formula... Whenever the opposition insults Modi, means Modi is winning again. When the opposition abuses Modi's parents, it means Modi's victory is certain. When the EVMs are questioned, it means the Modi government will win again".

Some people in India and West live in their own echo chamber of alternate realities, PM Modi to 'The Newsweek' on media freedom

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to The Newsweek on a range of issues including India's infrastructure and environmental initiatives, relations with global powers, and internal socio-political dynamics.

Here are the key highlights of PM Modi's interview:

- On Economic Trajectory and Upcoming Election

PM Modi said that under his government India ascended from the eleventh to the fifth largest economy globally, and is aspiring to reach the third position soon.

He emphasized the government's commitment to fulfilling promises, citing the motto "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas" (Together, for everyone's growth, with everyone's trust, and everyone's efforts).

He contrasted the increasing popular support for the government, with the rising discontent seen in other democracies.

- On Democratic Values and Media Freedom

PM Modi reaffirmed India's democratic ethos, ancient roots of democracy in the country, and the vibrant participation in the electoral process.

He addressed criticisms regarding press freedom, attributing them to disconnected individuals and asserting the role of media in sustaining democracy.

"There are a few people in India and in the West who have lost [connection with] the people of India — their thought processes, feelings and aspirations. These people also tend to live in their own echo chamber of alternate realities. They conflate their own dissonance with the people with dubious claims of diminishing media freedom," PM Modi said.

- On Infrastructure Development and Environmental Commitment

PM Modi said that India's infrastructure has seen significant expansion, with increases in highways, airports, and renewable energy investments.

"In the last 10 years, our National Highways network increased 60 percent, from 91,287 kilometers [56,723 miles] in 2014 to 146,145 kilometers [90,810 miles] in 2023. We have more than doubled our airports, from 74 in 2014 to over 150 in 2024," PM Modi said.

"Supported by our Sagarmala project, we have enhanced [the] capacity of our ports and improved the operational efficiency. We have started the tech-smart "Vande Bharat" trains for the comfort of our citizens and UDAN scheme to allow common people to fly," he added.

Stressing that infrastructure development goes hand-in-hand with environmental sustainability, he outlined initiatives like the National Green Hydrogen Mission and electric bus deployment to mitigate climate change.

"Since 2014, India has massively stepped up investments in renewable energy with solar energy capacity increasing from just 2,820 MW in 2014 to over 72,000 MW now. India is also well on its way to meet the 500 GW of renewable energy capacity and the climate commitment made in the Paris conference by 2030," he said.

He added that the the government's $2.5 billion dollar National Green hydrogen mission will contribute toward decarbonisation and avert a further 50 MMT per annum of CO2 emissions by 2030.

- On China and Global Manufacturing

Modi discussed India's attractiveness as a manufacturing hub and destination for global investment, facilitated by reforms and infrastructure development.

"India, as a democratic polity and global economic growth engine, is a natural choice for those looking to diversify their supply chains," he said.

He said that the central government had launched Production Linked Incentive (PLI) schemes to strengthen manufacturing capabilities in India.

These PLI schemes extend to 14 sectors such as electronics, solar modules, medical devices, automobiles, among others, he added.

"Given our strengths, India is now globally considered most suited for manufacturing world-class goods at competitive cost. Apart from producing for the world, the vast Indian domestic market is an added attraction," PM Modi said.

India is a perfect destination for those who want to set up trusted and resilient supply chains, he added.

- On Digitisation and UPI

The Prime Minister praised the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) as a model of Indian innovation, and advocated for its expansion to the US to benefit the large Indian diaspora and bilateral economic ties.

- On Socio-Economic Inclusivity and Minority Rights

Modi asserted the inclusivity of India's growth, with substantial poverty reduction and welfare schemes reaching all citizens, regardless of community or religion.

"Minorities from all religions, be it Muslim, Christians, Buddhist, Sikh, Jain or even a micro-minority like Parsis are living happily and thriving in India," he said.

He refuted allegations of discrimination against minorities, emphasising equal access to government schemes.

"Be it amenities like house, toilets, water connection or cooking fuel or be it collateral free credit or health insurance, it is reaching every citizen irrespective of his community and religion," PM Modi said.

- On Women Empowerment and Rights

PM Modi said that the government has prioritised women-led development, with legislative and social initiatives enhancing women's roles in various sectors.

He highlighted increased female voter registration and participation in the workforce as indicators of progress.

- On Geopolitics and Regional Stability

Modi talked about the QUAD's role, the India-China border situation, and engagement with Pakistan.

He said that QUAD is not aimed against any country and like other international groupings, it is also a group of like-minded countries working on a shared positive agenda.

He stressed peaceful coexistence and constructive engagement as foundational to regional and global stability.

"Through shared efforts and implementation of development projects in the Indo-Pacific in the areas of climate action, disaster management, strategic technologies, reliable supply chain, health security, maritime security and counterterrorism, the QUAD countries are demonstrating their vision of a free, open and inclusive Indo-Pacific," he said.

PM Modi said that for India, the relationship with China is "important and significant".

"It is my belief that we need to urgently address the prolonged situation on our borders so that the abnormality in our bilateral interactions can be put behind us," he said.

Stable and peaceful relations between India and China are important for not just our two countries but the entire region and world, PM Modi added.

On Pakistan, PM Modi said that he congratulated the Prime Minister of Pakistan on taking over office.

"India has always advocated for advancing peace, security and prosperity in our region in an atmosphere free from terror and violence," he said.

On the imprisonment of former Pakistani PM Imran Khan, PM Modi said, "I won't comment on matters internal to Pakistan".

- On Article 370 Abrogation

PM Modi highlighted the "sweeping positive changes happening on the ground" in Jammu and Kashmir after the abrogation of the Article 370 of the Constitution.

"I went to Jammu and Kashmir just last month. For the first time, people have a new hope in their lives. The process of development, good governance and empowerment of the people is to be seen to be believed." he said.

"People are reaping the peace dividend: Over 21 million tourists visited Jammu and Kashmir in 2023. There has been a significant decline in terror incidents. Organized bandh/hartals [protests], stone pelting, which once disrupted normal life, are now a thing of the past," he added.

A new dawn has also emerged for Kashmiri women, who now enjoy the same rights as their male counterparts when it comes to inheriting property or transferring property to their children, regardless of their marital status or residency, he said.

- On Cultural Identity and National Unity

Modi reflected on the cultural significance of the Ram Mandir and the unifying effect of its inauguration, symbolising national cohesion and spiritual heritage.

"The return of Shri Ram to his birthplace marked a historic moment of unity for the nation. It was a culmination of centuries of perseverance and sacrifice," PM Modi said.

"The [Pran Pratishtha] ceremony itself brought the nation together into a celebration, akin to a second Diwali. Every home was illuminated by the light of Ram Jyoti. I see it as a divine blessing that I could experience the consecration ceremony as a representative of 1.4 billion Indians," he added.

- On Legacy and Leadership Philosophy

Modi concluded by discussing his leadership approach, emphasising listening, direct engagement, and positive communication.

He distanced himself from legacy concerns, focusing instead on the immediate impact of his policies on Indians' lives.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed rallies in Tamil Nadu's Vellore and Mettupalayam. This marked his seventh visit to the state in this year alone.

PM Modi launched a scathing attack on DMK, saying that the youth of Tamil Nadu are not getting a chance to flourish due to DMK's dynastic politics.

Prime Minister also highlighted the growing support for the BJP in Tamil Nadu.

Here are the top quotes from his speeches in Vellore and Mettupalayam:

- "I extend my best wishes to all of you for the upcoming Nav Varsh on 14 April. I firmly believe that this year will further strengthen the journey of Tamil Nadu, and the upcoming elections will instill new enthusiasm in the people of Tamil Nadu."

- "The BJP is getting immense public support in Tamil Nadu. The entire Tamil Nadu is saying, Phir Ek Baar, Modi Sarkar."

- "In the last 10 years, the Central Government of the NDA has built the foundations for a developed India. But today, India is emerging as a global power."

- "Soon, the (Vellore) airport under the UDAN scheme will be operational here. It will place Vellore on the air connectivity map of India."

- "For Tamil Nadu, it's time to lead the journey of building a developed India. But DMK doesn't want Tamil Nadu to open up, to move ahead, and to embrace development and prosperity."

- "Entire DMK has become a 'family company'. It is due to family politics of the DMK that the youth of Tamil Nadu is not getting any chance to prosper."

- "DMK party has 'earned' the 'first copyright' on corruption. It has been revealed that sand smugglers have caused a loss of Rs 4,600 crore to Tamil Nadu in just 2 years."

- "They callously gave away the Katchatheevu island to Sri Lanka and meted out injustice to our fishermen. The NDA government has been continuously getting our fishermen released and getting them back home."

- "Congress-DMK has deprived the SC-ST-OBC for decades... I.N.D.I Alliance has never trusted the potential of the people of India... We have created the defense corridor in Tamil Nadu, but would have it been possible under the I.N.D.I alliance."

- He said that all our steps have been to enable increasing investments in Tamil Nadu. He said that it is our model of governance that has facilitated increased employment opportunities with a vibrant logistics sector.

- "DMK-Congress is founded on discrimination and division... their aim for this election is to make Modi leave the country while our priority is to rid the country of its vices like corruption, discrimination, and poverty, among various others."

April 9: Modi road show in Chennai

PM Modi conducted a massive roadshow in Chennai at Panagal Park. Modi, carrying a small cutout of BJP’s 'Lotus' symbol, was flanked by BJP state president K Annamalai and the three BJP candidates contesting in Chennai - Tamizhisai Soundararajan, Vinoj P Selvam, and Paul Kanagaraj.

April 9: Work done till now is like a sparkle, the rocket of 'Vikas' is yet to take off, Modi in Balaghat

Prime Minister continued his attack on INDI Alliance addressing a rally in Madhya Pradesh's Balaghat, "The real motive of INDI bloc, which has come together in the name of stopping Modi, is to halt the development of India."

"Some 4-5 months ago in the Vidhan Sabha elections you all wiped off the Congress completely. Now in this election, Congress people aren't fighting the BJP, but fighting amongst themselves. And so the voice is coming from every corner of MP - Phir Ek Baar Modi Sarkar!"

PM said that this election is not just about who's going to become the MP or not but it is about the making of New India, a developed India. He remarked that today from America to Australia, India is seen as a great power.

"For decades after independence, Congress was filled with arrogance about the freedom movement. After coming to power, it rejected and ignored the common people who made sacrifices for the independence. And a small coterie, a family started controlling everything. This thinking pushed the country towards backwardness," said PM.

Modi then talked about the modern infrastructure being constructed including highways, Vande Bharat trains, Amrit Bharat railway stations, and Balaghat's Varasivani Handloom Sarees getting the 'GI tag'.

He added, "this is just the trailer. There is a lot to be done now, the country has to go much further... When kids want to light a big rocket in Diwali, they first light a small sparkle stick to ignite the rocket... Even the sparkles look great but the real target is to ignite the rocket. Similarly, the work that Modi has done till now is like the sparkle, the rocket of Vikas (development) is yet to take off. India is yet to celebrate the Diwali with its complete potential. That is why I'm here to ask for your blessings."

Prime Minister explained how BJP is working for the underprivileged communities like Dalits and tribals. He talked of free ration, PM Awas, Nal Se Jal, Kisan Samman Nidhi, and the rights of tribals under PESA. On the other hand, he accused Congress of trying its best to stop a tribal woman from becoming the President.

"Congress did not give Guru Govind the status of a freedom fighter as it wanted give all the credit for independence to its royal family. Our government honoured Tantya Mama and celebrated Jan Jatiya Gaurav Diwas on Bhagwan Birsa Munda's birth anniversary. Tell me, should Congress get even a single seat?" asked PM Modi.

Stressing that 'Mera Bharat Hi Mera Parivar Hai' (My India is my family), PM Modi said, "Modi bhakt hai Mahakaal ka (Modi is Mahakaal's devotee) and those who have come into politics to fill their own coffers shouldn't give threats to Modi... Modi bows down only to either the people of India or Mahakaal."

"The whole country can see how irritated INDI Alliance is with me. When Modi gives guarantee of national security, they abuse Modi. When Modi fulfills the guarantee of removing Article 370, they speak the language of Pakistan. When Modi talks of 'Garib Kalyaan' and making 'Izzat-ghars' (toilets) for mothers and sisters, they make fun of Modi... When Ram Lalla's Pran Pratishtha was done, they abused Modi. Abusing Modi is still alright but INDI bloc has entered the election with a promise to eradicate Sanatan Dharma," said PM Modi.

Repeating his words on corruption, "I say remove corruption, they say save the corrupt," Modi asked for blessings so that he can take big and historic decisions in his third term.

April 9: What kind of party is Congress that it expels people for worshipping Ram, PM asks the crowd in Pilibhit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed his first public meeting in Pilibhit. He was accompanied by CM Yogi Adityanath, BJP's UP chief Bhupendra Chaudhary, Pilibhit candidate Jitin Prasada, and Bareilly candidate Chhatrapal Gangwar.

However, The incumbent MP from Pilibhit, Varun Gandhi and Sultanpur MP Maneka Gandhi were not present. Both of them have not been featured on the star campaigners list of the BJP.

Addressing the crowd, PM said India is a great power and reiterated his mantra, 'Niyat sahi, to natije sahi' (when intentions are right, the results are also right).

He then attacked Congress saying that during its time India used to look at the world for help, but now the world looks at India with hope. Citing Chandrayaan, G20, Covid vaccination, rescue operations, and bringing back of Guru Granth Sahib from Afghanistan, Prime Minister asked the gathering weren't they proud that India has become such a great power?

PM Modi said that sugarcane farmers were left asking for their own money under the rule of Congress and SP. The BJP government has worked with full force to reduce the problem of sugarcane farmers. Earlier farmers used to face 'lathicharge', now farmers are getting 'Samman Nidhi'. He also mentioned that blackmarketing of Urea has stopped and it is available for Rs. 300 in India as opposed to Rs. 3000 elsewhere in the world.

PM also raised the issue of 'Shakti' remark by Rahul Gandhi. "Today on the first day of Navratra, I'm reminding the country that INDI Alliance has promised to eradicate 'Shakti'. In a country where 'Shakti' is worshipped, Congress has insulted it," said PM Modi.

"Congress tried a lot to stop the construction of Ram Mandir in the courts. It even expelled the leaders who opposed the party's decision to boycott 'Pran Pratishtha'. What kind of party is Congress that it expels people for worshipping Ram?" asked PM Modi.

The Prime Minister then attacked the Congress Manifesto as being reflective of the thinking of Muslim League. He called out Congress and SP for opposing CAA due to their appeasement politics.

April 8: Naxalism has weakened in the entire country, Modi in Maharashtra

PM Narendra Modi addressed a massive rally in Maharashtra's Chandrapur, commencing the 2024 Lok Sabha campaign in the state.

PM emphasised the importance of stability and development while urging support for the BJP-NDA candidates in the upcoming elections.

He expressed his gratitude to the residents of Chandrapur for their support and contribution to the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya.

Highlighting the transformative initiatives undertaken by the NDA government for the development of Maharashtra and Vidarbha, PM Modi talked of reinstated schemes and projects that had been stalled by previous government. Further, he praised the efforts of CM Shinde, Deputy CMs Fadnavis and Pawar.

PM said, "INDI Alliance has always pushed the country into instability. Who would know better than Maharashtra that how important and necessary a stable government is? As long as INDI Alliance was in power at the center, Maharashtra was continuously neglected. When these INDI Alliance people, by conspiring, snatched the mandate, they only worked for their own development".

PM Modi recounted the numerous welfare measures implemented to uplift the marginalised communities like Dalits, tribals, and backward classes across the country.

"For the past 10 years, the Congress has been out of power. You have given the NDA a full majority. We have provided a permanent solution to the country's major problems. Today, not only in Maharashtra but in the entire country Naxalism has weakened," said Modi.

He attacked the Congress on its manifesto by saying, "it contains the language of the Muslim League. Their MPs are talking about another partition of India. People from INDI alliance are threatening to separate South India. The DMK party in the INDI alliance talks about ending Sanatan by calling it dengue malaria".

April 8: Kharche Kam Karaye, Bachat Badhaye Baar Baar – Phir Ek Baar, Modi Sarkar, PM Modi in Bastar

Prime Minister Narendra Modi kickstarted BJP’s 2024 Lok Sabha campaign in Chhattisgarh with a public meeting in Aamabal village in Bastar LS seat.

Here are the highlights from his speech:

- Chhattisgarh has left no stone unturned in giving its blessings to me... You have blessed us by coming here in such large numbers. You people have not only formed the BJP government here but have also strengthened the foundation of developed India.

- After independence, Congress government ignored the poor for decades, the Congress never cared and did not even understand the problems of the poor… Due to our efforts, 25 crore people have risen above the poverty line.

- When the world’s greatest crisis, Covid came to India, people thought how would India survive. Under Congress, vaccines took years to reach India but I stood with the poor of the country and I decided to provide free vaccines and free ration.

- For the poor, Bastar is a very big witness of how BJP has worked. I began the construction of the Ayushman Arogya Mandirs from Bastar division. These have become primary centers for cheap treatment and inexpensive check-ups for the poor across the country. Thousands of Ayushman Arogya Mandirs have been opened here in Chhattisgarh too.

- We have opened more than 11,000 Jan Aushadhi Centers, where medicines are provided with an 80%. This has saved ₹30,000 crore of the poor. This is why today the country's poor are saying – 'Kharche Kam Karaye, Bachat Badhaye Baar Baar – Phir Ek Baar, Modi Sarkar'.

- Congress thought it had the license to loot the country but has cancelled this loot license because you gave Modi the license. Now their shop has been closed, will they abuse Modi or not? So who will protect me? These crores of my countrymen, my mothers and sisters, have become my 'raksha kavach' (protective shields) today.

- It is natural for people of Chhattisgarh to be happy, as it is Lord Ram's maternal grandparents house. But Congress and INDI alliance are upset with Ram Mandir. The royal family of Congress rejected the invite to ‘Pran Pratishtha’. Congress leaders who opposed this decision were removed from the party. This shows Congress can cross any limit for appeasement.

- The tribal community that Congress has historically mocked, now sees that the daughter of the same community is today the President of the country. BJP gave first tribal Chief Minister to Chhattisgarh. BJP established separate ministries and budgets for tribal welfare. Budget for tribal welfare has been increased five times in the last 10 years.

April 7: Attacks on central agencies, Sandeshkhali, Article 370, Modi's blistering attack in Jalpaiguri

PM Modi launched a blistering attack on the opposition, including TMC, Congress, and others while addressing a rally in Jalpaiguri, West Bengal.

He began his speech by invoking the 'Aradhya' deities of Jalpaiguri, Baba Jalpesh and Bhramari Devi.

Here are the highlights from his speech:

- TMC wants a free license to commit crimes, looting, and terror. So, when central investigative agencies arrive here, they attack and threaten the team to shield its extortionist and corrupt leaders.

- TMC govt doesn't allow the central welfare initiatives to reach the poor. They want the central funds in their own account first. This syndicate Raj of TMC is looting people's money. The TMC government is putting brakes on central schemes for the welfare of the poor.

- The country knows about the atrocities inflicted on mothers and sisters in Sandeshkhali. The country saw it. The court itself has to intervene in everything here. Shouldn't Sandeshkhali culprits get strong punishment?

- TMC, Leftists and Congress are all partners in crime. To save each other, they formed the INDI alliance.

- Congress brought Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. And, now that we have abrogated the article, they are questioning its effect on other states. They did not care about Kashmir, just like they did not care about the Kachchatheevu island.

- Congress president thinks Article 370 has nothing to do with other states. Is Jammu and Kashmir not an integral part of the country? This reflects their divisive mindset. It was Syama Prasad Mookerjee, a Bengali, who fought against Article 370 and gave his life for the cause.

- Our government’s policies have made the lives of poor easier. The past 10 years are just a trailer. We have to take the nation forward and make India the third largest economy in the world.

April 7: INDI Alliance talks of breaking India. Congress people talk of separating South India, PM Modi's scathing attacks on opposition

Addressing the election rally in Bihar's Nawada, PM Modi attacked the opposition alliance including the RJD and Congress. He reminded people of the pre-2005 'Jungle Raj' saying, "the sisters and daughters of Bihar used to fear from venturing out of their homes".

Here are the other highlights from the speech:

- PM Modi began his speech in Bhojpuri. He said that the people of Nawada have given their love to BJP and NDA. "Your enthusiasm is telling that the NDA is going to triumph all over Bihar," he said.

- PM said, "From America to Africa, India is being hailed" and then asked, "How is this happening?" eliciting "because of Modi" from the crowd. However, PM quipped, "Wrong answer. It is because of you!"

- "Country has touched new heights in the last 10 years. The development work that has taken place in the country can be seen. That is why today the whole country says, "Abki Baar 400 Paar (This time over 400 seats), and Bihar is saying '40 Paar' (over 40)."

- "I had said from the Red Fort, 'yahi samay hai, sahi samay hai' (this is the time, the right time) which has come after the wait of many centuries."

- "INDI Alliance coalition is the hub of the corrupt. When the coalition nominates a candidate in Bihar, another one stands up and says that he's the real leader."

- "INDI coalition talks of breaking India. Congress people talk of separating South India. Congress manifesto reflects views of the Muslim League. This is not a manifesto, but a letter of appeasement. INDI alliance is formed to release the corrupt. We say remove corruption, they says save the corrupt. Congress-RJD don't deserve a single vote."

April 6: PM Modi's roadshow in Ghaziabad

April 6: Leftists have taken over whatever was left of Congress manifesto bearing the stamp of the Muslim League, Modi in Ajmer

"Brahmaji is the creator and the BJP is also committed to building a new India. Sometimes a decision by citizens will set the course for the next 100 years, this election is one such big opportunity," said PM Modi addressing a rally in Ajmer.

- PM slammed Congress saying wherever there is Congress, there can't be any development. "The Congress never thought about the poor, marginalized, and youth... These people considered looting public money as their ancestral right".

- Critiquing the corruption during Congress' term in the Centre, the prime minister said, "In the last 10 years, Modi has given a permanent cure for the disease".

- Saying that the third term of Modi government is not far and there are going to be even bigger decisions against corruption in the first 100 days.

- He called Congress a party of "dynasts and corrupt" and the present his government has closed their loot-shops. "It's a party of dynasties and equally a corrupt party... Modi has pulled down the shutter of their shop of loot. That is why they are in a panic," the prime minister said.

- On Congress' manifesto, PM Modi said it is a bundle of lies where every page reeked of "breaking India into pieces". He also alleged that the Congress wants to impose the ideas of the Muslim League on India. "The same thinking is reflected in the Congress manifesto as was in the Muslim League at the time of independence. The Leftists have taken over whatever was left of this manifesto bearing the stamp of the Muslim League," PM Modi said.

- "Today Congress is left with neither principles nor policies. It seems as if Congress has given everything on contract and has outsourced the entire party," he said.

- PM Modi reiterated that whatever has been done no matter how much or how good it is, it is just a trailer.

April 6: Congress Manifesto is like that of Muslim League, Modi in Saharanpur

PM Modi addressed a public rally in Saharanpur in the western Uttar Pradesh.

- PM began his speech by attacking the opposition on Rahul Gandhi's statements on 'Shakti' saying that we're are a country which worships 'Shakti' but the opposition wants to fight 'Shakti'. "We've read in Puranas what happen to those who fight 'Shakti'", he said.

- He then went to onto target Akhilesh-Rahul saying, the "The flop film of two UP boys is being released again. How many times will this INDI Alliance try the same thing?"

- Modi compared Congress' manifesto with the Muslim League and said, "the manifesto is heavily influenced by leftist ideologies. Overall, the Congress fails to address contemporary issues and is unfit to lead India into the 21st century".

- Ripping into Samajwadi Party, PM Modi said, "the situation of the Samajwadi Party is such that it has to change its candidates every hour. These people are unable to make decisions even regarding their candidates". He said the same about Congress that it lacks the courage to field candidates even in the constituencies that were considered its strongholds".

- Prime Minister also spoke about boosting Saharanpur artisan’s woodcarving skills using the ‘Vocal for Local’ campaign. He said, "The wood carving of Saharanpur are well-known far and wide. We brought ‘One District, One Product’ scheme to boost the sales of your products."

- Congratulating everyone on BJP's Foundation Day, he credited the party for following "Rashtraneeti" (National Policy) and not "Rajneeti" (Politics). "In just a few decades, record numbers of our countrymen have joined the BJP… the biggest reason for this is that BJP does not follow 'Rajneeti' but follows 'Rashtraneeti'. For BJP, nation comes first, this is not BJP’s slogan but our article of faith," Modi stated.

- Reiterating his mantra 'Niyat Sahi, Toh Natije Sahi', PM Modi talked about newly consecrated Ram Temple in Ayodhya. He said, "the construction of the grand Ram temple in Ayodhya and the removal of Article 370 from J&K were not mere promises but missions accomplished. Making India a strong nation is the commitment of the BJP".

- PM further said, "Our mantra is 'secularism'. We want 100% implementation of all schemes. Beneficiaries get their due. BJP has ensured homes, gas connections, and tap water for the people of all religions. We ended the ill-practice of Triple Talaq, worked for Muslim sisters".

April 5: Highlights from PM Modi's interaction with BJP 'Karyakartas' from Karnataka

- "We need a double engine government of the BJP with a full majority in Karnataka. It's only then we can change the landscape of Karnataka completely."

- "I speak out every plan openly because I know that our opponents can't follow the 'Tapasya', which a BJP worker does."

- "'Mera Booth Sabse Majboot' shows how important booth-level workers are to me. To win Lok Sabha elections, we must first win the booths. Remember, at every booth, we must get 370 more votes this time."

- PM Modi asked BJP workers to organise a statewide campaign to get women to apply mehendi on their hands in the shape of the 'lotus' - BJP's symbol. He said at least two women-led processions must be held in every booth and asked booth workers to reach out to the women head of every household.

- "We must encourage them to vote. We must also ask people to vote early in the day given that the summer heat is rising. For the elderly and differently-abled, we must offer help in taking them to the polling booth."

- "There is a voice coming from every house — '4 June-400 paar'."

April 5: Last 10 years were just an appetiser, the main course is yet to come, says Modi in Churu

Addressing a rally in Rajasthan's Churu, PM Modi recalled he was in Churu for an election rally when the Indian Air Force carried out airstrikes on terror camps in Balakot on February 26, 2019.

"Today even the enemy knows that this is Modi, this is the new India," he said while attacking the Congress, "When we carried out the airstrikes and surgical strikes, Congress demanded proof of bravery of our security forces. Insulting the army and dividing the country is the identity of Congress".

"No matter how much has happened, whatever has happened in the last ten years is a trailer. Whatever Modi has done so far, it was just an appetiser and the main course is yet to come," said PM stressing that there is a lot to be done and there are a lot of dreams.

Continuing his anti-corruption pitch, he targeted the INDI Alliance, "I say remove corruption, they say save corruption. They are not holding rallies for the election but to save the corrupt".

Prime Minister accused Congress of keeping appeasement over nation's interests, "The country has seen what extent these people could go to please others. They said in the court that Lord Shri Ram is imaginary". He said, that when whole country was the grand Ram temple in Ayodhya, Congress was openly insulting our faith.

Continuing the scathing attack, PM Modi said "Congress issued an advisory asking all its unit to keep their mouths locked whenever the Ayodhya Ram Temple is discussed. They feel if they take the name of Ram, toh pata nahi kab Ram-Ram ho jaye (it may become ‘Ram-Ram’ for them)".

"These are the same people who did not respect Baba Ambedkar," said Modi attacking the Congress and INDI Alliance of being anti-poor and anti-Dalit. "Congress did not allow Bharat Ratna for Baba Saheb for decades. They imposed Emergency. Backward classes commission was not given constitutional status. Modi fulfilled the decades-old demand. BJP gave the country a Dalit president and a tribal woman as president".

BJP issues 'Sankalp Patra' unlike other parties which release 'Ghoshna Patra', said PM hours after Congress released it manifesto for the 2024 LS elections, "BJP doesn't just talk, it delivers. Unlike other parties, we don't just release manifestos, we fulfill them".

April 4: Trinamool protected the culprits of Sandeshkhali, only BJP can stop injustice to women of Bengal, says Modi in Cooch Behar

In his first public address in Bengal after the announcement of Lok Sabha elections, PM Modi in Cooch Behar said, "The large turnout of West Bengal’s Nari Shakti indicates ‘Fir Ek Baar Modi Sarkar’ (Modi Sarkaar One More Time)."

Cooch Behar will witness a high profile political battle as sitting BJP MP and Union minister Nisith Pramanik will be challenged by TMC's Udayan Guha who is from the Rajbanshi community.

PM Modi tore into the opposition saying that Congress, Trinamool, and the Left are enemies only in Bengal as they're friends in Delhi, "the opposition’s politics is based on falsehood only. In West Bengal, Congress, Trinamool Congress, and the Left are fighting against each other, but in Delhi, they eat from the same plate."

Hailing CAA and attacking opposition's opposition to it, Modi said, "BJP has brought CAA which gives a guarantee of citizenship to all genuine citizens... it is Modi's guarantee to provide citizenship to those who have faith in Maa Bharati (Mother India)... My only appeal to the people of West Bengal is don’t get scared by the falsehoods being spread by Trinamool Congress and the Left". He requested people to have faith in his 'guarantee' as they've seen his work in the last 10 years.

On Sandeshkhali incident, Modi targeted Mamata Banerjee saying entire nation saw how Trinamool tried to save the culprits. "But BJP's focus," he said, "is empowering the women and that the culprits of Sandeshkhali will spend their lives in jail". PM asserted that only the BJP can stop the injustice meted out to the women of Bengal and hence the BJP must be strengthened in West Bengal.

Carrying forward his anti-corruption poll pitch, Modi said, "I say remove corruption, opposition says 'save the corrupt'. I will ensure the corrupt are punished, and the poor get justice. In the next five years, even more stringent action will be taken against the corrupt".

Meanwhile, Mamata Banerjee also campaigned in Cooch Behar on the same day as PM Modi.

April 4: Nitish Kumar's tenure as Railway Minister under NDA "blameless", Modi's praise for Nitish

PM Modi began his public meeting in Bihar's Jamui by asking, "Is this a poll meeting or a victory meeting?"

"India has changed. Earlier, whenever something was happening to the country, government used to reach out to other countries for help. Lekin aaj yeh badla hua Bharat, yeh ghar mein ghus kar marta hai (But today, this is a changed India, which enters into homes to kill)".

Modi attacked the Congress and RJD on corruption, "This Congress-RJD government in Bihar opposed the Bharat Ratna on Karpoori Thakur, they also opposed a tribal becoming the President of India. This 'ghamandia' alliance wants to keep Bihar in the lantern age... we say remove corruption, they say save corruption... Those who looted they will have to return the money of the poor".

Recounting that India is today the world’s fifth largest economy, Chandrayaan has reached to the moon, and that the G-20 meeting held in India has become a point of discussion the world over, Modi added "this has not become possible by Modi, but by your vote".

He said, "these 10 years of NDA were only a trailer, many things have to be done to take India and Bihar into the future... Jab niyat sahi, to natije sahi (when intentions are right, the results are also right)".

"They were the land grabbers of poor people in lieu of jobs," PM said talking about jobs in railways, "When this 'ghamandia' alliance was in power, what was the condition of Railways? But today, even people of Bihar are traveling in trains like Vande Bharat".

Interestingly PM Modi lauded Bihar CM Nitish Kumar saying, his tenure as Railway Minister under NDA had been "blameless".

April 3: PM Modi interacts with BJP workers in Bengal and UP

PM Modi interacted with BJP 'karyakartas' in Bengal a day ahead of his rally in Coochbehar. Yet again he attacked the opposition on the issue of corruption saying that "for the corrupts, only two options are left - jail or bail".

He said, "the corrupt have come together and have formed an alliance and keep abusing Modi. But let me make it clear that Modi will not stop taking action against corruption".

Prime Minister also attacked TMC on poll violence calling it "biggest challenge in West Bengal elections". While saying that TMC tries to stop BJP workers anyhow, he commended BJP workers, "country has seen how BJP karyakartas have worked despite the threats. The TMC tries to stop the BJP by resorting to violence. The country has also seen how BJP workers fearlessly stood in their booths. We are confident of winning more seats this time."

"The conflict among the Left, TMC and Congress in Bengal is superficial," said Modi, "but behind the curtains they are allies... In Bengal, they stage a drama of becoming enemies".

PM Modi also interacted with the party workers of around 22,640 polling booths in Uttar Pradesh. Taking the ground feedback from workers, he stressed on the importance of booth workers, "No matter how big our desire to win elections, but if we have not won the polling booth, we can't win elections" and that “be it Lok Sabha elections or assembly polls, new records are being made due to your hard work".

Further, PM said that after seeing the enthusiasm of BJP workers, opposition leaders have developed cold feet. He urged the 'karyakartas' to get in touch with people directly, "For people you are the face of BJP. They see Modi in you". Stressing on the "need to fight nepotism," PM said "we want democracy not dynastic politics".

He asked them to be active on social media and make reels highlighting beneficiaries of welfare schemes. But he also cautioned them against ego, "Even a little 'ahankar' (ego) can shy away the voter from us." PM urged the workers to ensure that their work or behaviour does not hurt anyone.

PM Modi also touched upon Ram Mandir, Article 370, and Triple Talaq saying "when intentions are clear, good results come".

April 2: PM Modi addresses rally in Kotputli, Rajasthan

Holding Congress responsible for the poverty in country even 60 years after India's independence, PM Modi attacked dynastic politics saying "Congress considers their family bigger than the nation."

Here are top quotes from his speech:

- BJP considers the entire nation its family. But Congress considers their family bigger than the nation. BJP has raised the pride of the country while Congress abuses the country whenever they go abroad.

- This is the first election where Congress leaders are not talking about winning the elections but instead threatening the nation that if BJP wins, the country will be on fire.

- They say save the corrupt, Modi says remove corruption. Congress & INDI alliance are not fighting this election for the nation but for their own selfish motives.

- Congress did not allow our armed forces to become 'atmanirbhar'. Under Congress' rule, India was only known as the biggest importer of arms. But under BJP's rule, India is now becoming an arms exporter.

- Country's politics has been divided into two camps. On one hand, there is the BJP for whom it is nation first and on the other hand there is Congress which only finds ways to loot the country.

- Modi mauj karne ke liye paida nahi hua, Modi toh mehnat karne ke liye paida hua hai (Modi wasn't born to make merry, Modi was born to work hard). A lot has happened in last ten years but it is just a trailer.

April 2: Congress' royal family trying to instigate people against the mandate, PM attacks Rahul's remarks on unrest

Ahead of the LS elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a rally in Rudrapur, Uttarakhand. He remarked, "This marks my inaugural electoral rally in the 'Devbhumi' Uttarakhand".

Here are key highlights from his address:

- PM said, ‘Neeyat Sahi, Toh Nateeje Sahi’ (when intentions are right, such work happens naturally) citing Uttarakhand's integration into modern connectivity, providing 85,000 pakka houses to the poor, water connections to over 12 lakh homes, and constructing more than 5 lakh toilets.

- "The development achieved in the past 10 years is just the trailer. We still have to take the country and Uttarakhand much further. My endeavor is to make the world more familiar with the region, whether it's agriculture, tourism, or industry, unprecedented opportunities are emerging in this region," said PM Modi.

- PM attacked the Congress saying, “Congress and the opposition coalition have shown their intentions. The scion of the Congress' royal family has declared that if the country elects a BJP government for the third time, there will be unrest. The Congress, with its Emergency-era mentality, has lost faith in democracy and is now trying to incite people against the mandate. Also, a senior leader of the Congress in Karnataka has spoken about separating South India from the country.”

- "Congress divided the country to an extent that even the birthplace of Guru Nanak Ji was snatched from us. Now, finally, the BJP government has made life easier for people by constructing the Kartarpur Corridor. If Congress didn't show weakness, no one would have dared to cast an eye on our borders."

- Saying that crackdown on corruption will increase in his third term, PM Modi said, "These corrupt individuals not only threaten Modi but also abuse him. I say - eradicate corruption. They say - save the corrupt. But Modi is not afraid of their abuses and threats. Action will continue against every corrupt person. There will be a swift strike against corruption in the third term. And I will not let anyone steal the rights of the poor or the middle class. This is Modi's guarantee."

April 1: Dhama Dham Kaam Aane Wala Hai, says Modi at RBI's 90th Commemoration Function

"Dhama dham kaam aane wala hai," said PM addressing 90th commemoration function of the Reserve Bank of India. He said, "For the next 100 days, I'm occupied with elections. You have enough time for now. But be prepared because a day after taking oath, lots of work is coming your way."

He asked RBI to think of ways to support emerging sectors such as space, green energy, digital technology, and tourism. "Whole world wants to come to India, see India, and understand India... the space sector too is now opening up with many new startups... We need to see how we can meet their credit demand," said PM Modi.

Talking of Atmanirbharta, PM Modi highlighted the need to make India’s economy self-reliant in next 10 years. "We have to make efforts to ensure that our economy is much less affected by the crisis from across the world," he said.

With its contribution of 15% to the global GDP growth, India has become the growth engine of the world. Prime Minister said that effort should be that the rupee is more accessible and acceptable in the world.

Prime Minister recollected the dire situation a decade ago due to high levels of NPA, "In 2014, when I came for RBI’s 80th birthday, the situation was starkly different. India’s banking sector was facing several challenges. Due to high levels of NPA, everyone had doubts about the stability and future".

About UPI, Modi said it has become globally recognised with more than 1,200 crore transactions per month and that central bank is also working on the Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC).

"The steps taken in the last 10 years were just a trailer… too many things still need to be done," he said stressing on making policies that can improve ease of doing banking and access to credit to all.

April 1: "Rhetoric aside," PM Modi doubles down on Katchatheevu attack on Congress and DMK

PM Modi posted the following on X while attacking Congress and DMK over Katchatheevu island:

March 31: It is my guarantee that I will return the looted wealth of my people back to them, says PM Modi at Meerut Rally

PM Modi started his electoral campaign in Uttar Pradesh with a public rally in Meerut. He attacked the opposition on corruption and said that the election is not about electing a government, but making a 'Viksit Bharat'.

Here are top quotes from his rally:

- "Modi's mantra is 'Bhrashtachar hatao' and they say 'Bhrashtacahri bachao'. This election is between NDA which is fighting against corruption, and the other group, which is fighting to save the corrupt."

- "In the last 10 years, the country has seen that we have started the fight against corruption. We have ensured that no middleman can steal money from the poor. I am fighting against corruption, that is why the corrupt are behind bars today."

- "I am not just probing the corrupt. It is my guarantee that whoever has looted the people of my country, I will return the stolen wealth of my people back to them."

- "I.N.D.I. Alliance hates farmers. It did not even give due respect to Chaudhary Charan Singh. The entire nation saw what the I.N.D.I. Alliance did inside the Parliament during the discussion. When our younger brother Jayant Chaudhary stood up to speak on the Bharat Ratna, attempts were made to stop him and humiliate him. Congress and SP should go to every door and apologise to the farmers of this region for this."

- "Our government has already started preparing for the third term. We are preparing a roadmap for the next five years. We are rapidly working on what major decisions we will be taking in the first 100 days."

- "In the last 10 years, you have seen only a trailer of development. Now we have to take the country much further."

March 31: Those dancing are going to regret, PM Modi on Electoral Bonds data

PM Modi has finally spoken out on the disclosure of Electoral Bonds data and taken the opposition to task over it.

On Electoral Bonds

When asked, in an interview with Thanthi TV, if disclosure of electoral bonds details has caused a setback to his government, PM Modi replied, "Tell me what have we done that I should see it as a setback? I firmly believe that those dancing over it and taking pride in it are going to regret it."

He explained that no system was perfect and shortcomings, if any, could be improved upon. PM added, "Modi formed electoral bonds because of which the sources of funding and beneficiaries could be found out". Saying that the trail could be established only because of bonds, he asked if any agency could reveal the sources of funds and beneficiaries prior to 2014 when he came to power.

On Misuse of ED

PM said that the ED works independently and that "we neither obstruct nor direct their actions" which are "evaluated by the scales of the judiciary".

On allegations of only the opposition being targeted, PM said, "Regardless of the party, the process is the same. ED cannot initiate any case on its own; various departments need to file the cases first, then ED takes action… The PMLA law has existed since before, but they did not use it."

Stating that only 3% of cases by the ED involve politicians, PM Modi emphasised, "Currently, the ED has around 7000 cases, of which less than 3% involve politicians. During their (UPA) 10-year rule, the amount of money seized was merely ₹35 lakh. On the other hand, we have seized ₹2200 crore".

On Northeast

"Just because I am a politician does not mean I work only to win elections. Tamil Nadu has huge potential which must not be wasted," asserted PM. Further, he said if only votes were his concern he wouldn't have focussed so much on northeast states where his ministers visited over 150 times and he more times than all other prime ministers combined.

On Tamil Nadu, Tamil language, AIADMK, and Annamalai

PM Modi said Tamil Nadu has the potential to become the driving force behind the dream of Viksit Bharat. "People have seen the work we have done over the past 10 years. Tamil Nadu has decided that this time it will be the BJP-NDA," said Modi. He added that BJP has worked for Tamil Nadu even when it did not have a single municipal member there.

Expressing his regret over the politicisation of Tamil, "The politicisation of the Tamil language has been detrimental not only to Tamil Nadu but also to the country."

PM Modi also spoke on the breaking of the alliance with AIADMK in Tamil Nadu and called it a "loss" for the regional party, "Our friendship was strong. If there is any regret, it should be from the AIADMK side, not the BJP... Only those who are committing sins by destroying the dreams of Amma (former AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa) should regret, not us".

Praising TN BJP chief and party's candidate from Coimbatore K Annamalai, PM Modi said he is attracting the youth who think if money and corruption motivated him, he could've joined the DMK.

On Ram Mandir, Opposition, and his LS Candidature

On a personal note, Modi shared his spiritual experience at the inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, describing it as a profound moment in his life.

Regarding broader political themes, Modi advised the opposition Congress to rely on its seasoned leaders to regain strength and relevance.

Modi also discussed his candidature, stating that he did not plan to contest elections this time but was asked by the party to do so.

March 31: PM Modi reacts to RTI reply received by K Annamalai on Kachchatheevu Island, calls it eye opening and startling

PM Modi posted on X reacting to the documents obtained by TN BJP chief K Annamalai through an RTI application concerning Kachchatheevu Island. In 1974, Indira Gandhi-led government gave up the claim over the island in favour of Sri Lanka ending a decades-long contest over it.

Earlier, in a minute PM Nehru had dismissed the issue as inconsequential. On May 10, 1961, in this minute Nehru wrote, “I attach no importance at all to this little island and I would have no hesitation in giving up our claims to it.”

March 30: PM interacts with booth workers in Kerala, calls them beyond compare, disciplined, sacrificing, and hardworking

"They are both working to hide each other's faults and wrongdoings. This is the game they are playing in Kerala. People of Kerala are educated, they should be informed about this," said PM Modi while interacting with BJP’s booth workers in Kerala.

Interacting on Namo App, Modi told the ‘karyakartas’ that LDF and UDF were two sides of the same coin as they were pretending to be enemies only in the state, while outside they were working together to defeat the BJP. He asked the party workers to inform voters about this political scenario in the state.

Workers told Modi that it was an ongoing joke that both the LDF and UDF were fighting each other in the state, but near Walayar border in Tamil Nadu, they were canvassing together. They told PM that Congress workers were also unhappy that Annie Raja, an LDF candidate will contest from Wayanad against Rahul Gandhi, while in Delhi she was trying to ensure that he becomes the Prime Minister.

PM Modi and the workers also discussed the graft allegations, issue of gold smuggling through diplomatic bags, and the cooperative bank fraud case. PM asked whether they were able to convince people that the BJP would end this corruption and that a graft-free government is Modi's guarantee.

Modi also guided booth workers on strategies for winning over voters at the booth level to ensure victory in their respective booths. He asked them to ensure coordination between all NDA workers. PM suggested "tiffin meetings" at the booth level where workers of two-three booths come together and share meals while discussing the political situation in their respective booths and working out a plan.

Other suggestions included holding small marches, making reels, reminding voters about the party symbol and the candidate number, and holding meetings of women, first-time voters, and beneficiaries of central schemes.

The PM praised the workers saying that the struggles faced by BJP workers in Kerala and the eagerness shown by them were beyond compare and interacting with such disciplined, sacrificing, and hardworking karyakartas "inspired and energised" him.

March 29: PM Modi interacts with Bill Gates, says while India fell behind in the Industrial Revolution due to slavery, it will make significant strides in the 4th Industrial Revolution

Bill Gates called on PM Modi for a one-on-one interaction at his residence at 7 Race Course Road. The conversation ranged from health, agriculture, and education to digital governance, artificial intelligence, deepfakes, and the democratisation of technology.

Here are the highlights:

- On digital governance, Modi said, “When I used to hear about digital divide in the world, I used to say that I will not let anything like that happen in my country. Digital public infrastructure is a big requirement for that.”

- Modi said that he wants to overcome the shortcomings of teachers with technology. Children are interested in visuals and storytelling, so he is working towards creating that kind of content. In agriculture too, Modi said he is bringing a big revolution and wants to change the mindset. He cited 'Namo Drone Didi' scheme as an example of psychological change amongst rural women.

- “Even when I went for the G20 summit in Indonesia, all nations around the world were curious about how India brought about the digital revolution. I explained to them that I have democratised this technology so that nobody can have a monopoly over it.”

- Highlighting the use of digital governance during Covid in the form of the Cowin App and digital vaccine certificates, Modi said he was ready to help Africa in this regard. Prime Minster said that while India fell behind in the Industrial Revolution due to slavery, India will make strides in the 4th Industrial Revolution, a significant part of which is digital governance.

- On his use of Artificial Intelligence, Modi showed Gates a feature on the 'NaMo' app, “I am using my NaMo App and I use AI a lot, and I find this very useful across the country,” Modi said. The app spawned all the photos of Gates and Modi over the last 20 years after Gates took a selfie on the app. “Whoa!” exclaimed Gates seeing his pictures.

- “If we use AI as a magic tool, it might be a great injustice. Or if I use AI due to laziness, like if I need to write a letter and I don’t draft it and instead ask ChatGPT to do it for me, then it is the incorrect way. I should compete with ChatGPT, fighting with it, trying to surpass AI.”

- On deepfakes, PM Modi said, “to begin with, all AI generated content should have a watermark that says that this is AI-generated so that no one is misguided. Nothing bad about it being AI generated. But now I can ascertain its value for myself. In a vast democratic country like India, if someone uploads a deepfake, like if someone uploads something bad in my voice, people will believe it initially and it will lead to an uproar. It is important to mention that deepfake is AI-generated and to mention its source.”

- When Gates asked Modi about his thoughts on data privacy, he replied, “there are two parts here. First, we need to train the common man for quality data. Our data must have quality and clarity. Second, the data owner must know for what purpose the asking entity is going to use the data for.”

March 28: To browbeat and bully others is vintage Congress culture, PM Modi reacts to a letter by lawyers to CJI

Over 600 lawyers including prominent ones like Harish Salve, Manan Kumar Mishra, Adish Aggarwala, Chetan Mittal, Pinky Anand, Hitesh Jain, Ujjwala Pawar, Uday Holla, Swaroopama Chaturvedi have written to CJI Chandrachud "expressing…deepest concern" over attempts of a "vested interest group" which "is trying to pressure the judiciary, influence judicial process and defame…courts on the basis of frivolous logic and stale political agendas".

PM Modi posted on X reacting to the letter:

"Their pressure tactics are most obvious in political cases, particularly those involving political figures accused of corruption," said the letter.

Pointing to the upcoming elections, the signatories added, "the timing of their modus operandi also merits closer scrutiny- they do it at very strategic timings, when the nation is all set to head into elections".

March 26-27: PM Modi dials two more BJP candidates, says the money attached by ED will be returned to the poor

Conversation with Amrita Roy, candidate from Bengal's Krishnanagar

- Prime Minister called up BJP candidate and erstwhile royalty 'Rajmata' Amrita Roy, who has been pitted against TMC's Mahua Moitra in Krishnanagar constituency.

- Prime Minister told her that he was taking legal advice over ways to distribute the assets worth Rs 3,000 crore, attached by ED in connection with various scams in Bengal, to the poor in state.

- He said, "the new government will find a way to return the money to those from whom it was taken" and asked Roy to inform the people in the constituency that "we are trying to remove corruption from the country while the other side has come together to save the corrupt... The same people who had earlier made complaints against others are now trying to save them. The nation is not their priority; their own interests are".

- Modi slammed those who targeted the erstwhile royal family for its alleged support to the British when Roy told Modi that her family was being called traitors while noting that Krishnachandra Roy worked with other kings to save “Sanatan Dharma”.

- Modi asked her to not take any pressure, saying that TMC does vote bank politics and will make these kinds of wild allegations to hide their own sins. While they seek evidence of Lord Ram's existence, they cite incidents dating back to two and three centuries to defame others. This is their double standard, said Modi.

Conversation with Prof T N Sarasu, candidate from Kerala's Alathur

- PM Modi dialed Sarasu and assured her that strict action would be taken against individuals involved in the irregularities in the cooperative banks in Kerala.

- Sarasu is a retired college principal contesting on a BJP ticket from Alathur which is a Scheduled Castes reserved seat.

- "I am happy that, as the candidate, you are taking the issue of the people and common man's problems. It is a good thing for any public servant. I am happy to hear that you are raising the issue," replied Modi when Sarasu sought Prime Minister's intervention to punish the guilty in the irregularities in the cooperative banks.

- "I would like to tell you that I will take legal advice and whatever property the ED will attach, I will ensure that each and every paisa is returned. On behalf of me, you can promise them that those who had invested in the bank, their money will be returned," PM Modi said.

March 26: You are a 'Shakti Swaroopa', PM Modi dials Sandeshkhali survivor Rekha Patra, now BJP’s candidate from Basirhat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Rekha Patra, the BJP candidate for the Basirhat Lok Sabha seat. Patra was one of the survivors of Sandeshkhali and led the protests against TMC leader Sheikh Shahjahan from the front.

Prime Minster inquired about Patra's campaign in Basirhat. He also lauded her as a 'Shakti Swaroopa', "You have fought a significant battle in Sandeshkhali, and you are a Shakti Swaroopa (symbol of strength). You have sent such powerful individuals to jail. You have shown great courage".

Patra also recounted the challenges faced by the victims of the Sandeshkhali incident and replied, "I was able to do it because of the support from women. I will follow the path they have shown me and will unite everyone".

"Speaking up for the women of Sandeshkhali is extraordinary. Your bravery indicates that the women's power in Bengal will support us. I urge you to inform people about the initiatives undertaken by the Centre. The people of Bengal are tired of the TMC government, which obstructs the implementation of central schemes in the state," the prime minister told Patra.

Last month, hundreds of women protested, accusing TMC leader Sheikh Shahjahan and his associates of land grabbing and sexual assault in Sandeshkhali.

As the protests intensified, the TMC suspended Shahjahan from the party for six years. After evading police for two months, he was arrested on February 29 and later handed over to the CBI following a Calcutta High Court order.

March 22-23: PM Modi becomes first foreign leader to be conferred with ‘Order of the Druk Gyalpo’, Bhutan's highest national award

PM Modi visited Bhutan for a two-day visit on March 22.

Prime Minister was conferred with the ‘Order of the Druk Gyalpo’, the highest decoration of the Kingdom of Bhutan. Prime Minister Modi is the first foreign leader to be given this prestigious distinction awarded in recognition of a lifetime of service to the people and Kingdom of Bhutan.

Modi also discussed the Bhutan's 13th Five-Year Plan (FYP) and announced "support of ₹10,000 crore in this direction". He met Bhutan's King Jigme Singye Wangchuck and held discussions with Prime Minister Tobgay.

This unusual visit comes after Tobgay's visit to New Delhi last week, his first foreign trip since assuming office earlier this year. A reciprocal visit within just 3 days is highly unusual. PM's visit is also unique given that no Indian prime minister has ever made a foreign visit after the announcement of dates for general election.

Later, Modi and Tobgay also inaugurated a hospital for women and children in Thimphu, built with Indian assistance.

“I am honoured by the special gesture by His Majesty the King of Bhutan, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, of coming to the airport as I leave for Delhi,” posted PM Modi on X, acknowledging King Wangchuck and Prime Minister Tobgay's special farewell to him at the Paro International Airport.

March 21: Next five years will be of unprecedented growth for Indians, says PM Modi at Rising Bharat Summit

PM Modi delivered a keynote speech at News18’s "Rising Bharat Summit". Addressing the youth and middle class, he emphasised, "unprecedented transformation, growth and prosperity for Indians over the next five years".

"Everyone is watching the kind of developments undertaken by the government in the last 10 years. The whole world is seeing what the country has achieved in the last 10 years," said Prime Minister expressing confidence that the world thinks India should lead the globe in the 21st century.

PM Modi also appealed to the people to move forward with this "neeyat" (intent) of putting the “Nation First”, which will strengthen the "foundation of rising Bharat". "The day you all align your work with the nation… that day is when the seed of 'nation first' has sprouted in you,” he added.

Talking on terrorism, PM said, "this new Bharat does not endure terrorism; rather, it inflicts serious damage upon perpetrators. The people who used to terrorise us are nowhere now."

Highlighting that corruption used to be big issue before 2014, he said "today, powerful and corrupt leaders are asking why the agencies are targeting them… this is the change that has come in the last 10 years".

PM mentioned that as many as 4 crore fake ration cards have been cancelled and that with Direct Benefit Transfer, 10 crore fake beneficiaries have been removed, "the poor were being deprived of the schemes that were intended for them... the poor bless me … this is why they (opposition) even abuse the poor…and that is why, the nation has decided that ‘Phir Ek Baar, Modi Sarkaar’."

March 20: India has an ancient and unbroken culture of democracy, says PM Modi at 'Summit For Democracy'

PM Modi virtually addressed the third 'Summit for Democracy' being hosted by South Korea. Here's what he said.

Modi began his address by talking about the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, "world will witness the largest festival of Democracy in India. With around one billion voters expected to vote, this will be the largest electoral exercise in the history of mankind."

Moving from the present to the past, PM Modi said, "India has an ancient and unbroken culture of democracy." He called democracy the life-blood of Indian civilization. Calling India the 'Mother of Democracy', Modi said consensus-building, open dialogue and free discussion have resonated throughout India's history.

Talking of inclusive growth, Modi explained the mantra of ''Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwaas, Sabka Prayaas'' - that is, collective efforts for inclusive growth.

He expanded on inclusive growth by citing how India's 'Digital Public Infrastructure' has revolutionized public service delivery and enhanced financial inclusion. Talking of 'women led development', he stressed that over 1.4 million elected women representatives at the grassroots level are the agents of change.

Further, Prime Minster said, "When India successfully landed Chandrayaan on the Moon, it was not just a proud moment for India, it was a triumph of Democracy as well. When India amplified the Voice of the Global South during its G-20 Presidency, it showed the importance of consultative decision-making in international politics. Now, as India is on track to become the world's third-largest economy, it gives hope to millions of people around the world for a brighter future."

"India stands ready to share its experience with all fellow democracies in this pursuit," concluded PM Modi.

March 20: You know what is going to happen in the next five years, says confident PM Modi at Startup Mahakumbh

PM Modi addressed the Startup Mahakumbh held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Here are the highlights from his address:

- Road map of a Viksit Bhart 2047: "We have seen how India has made its mark in the IT and software sector. Now, we are seeing the trend of innovation and start-up culture in India."

- Dig at Rahul Gandhi: PM Modi quipped, "Many people launch startups, more so in politics... has to be launched again and again. The difference between them and you is that you people experiment. If one launch doesn't work you move on to another."

- Next 5 years: "Your team is organising such a Mahakumbh here. Usually, a business mind thinks that it is the election year, let it be. We will organise something once a new government forms. But even after elections have been declared, you are organising such a big program. It means you know what is going to happen in the next five years."

- Today, the energy & vibe is amazing: "I could feel the vibe that India's future holds many Unicorns and Decacorns... If today India has emerged as a new hope, a new strength for the global start-up space, then there has been a well-thought-out vision behind it. India has taken the right decisions at the right time and started work on start-ups at the right time."

- Go get your patents: “India is the world's 3rd largest startup ecosystem. There are over 1.25 lakh registered startups which generate employment for over 12 lakh people. India has over 110 unicorns. Our startups have registered over 12,000 patents. I request all of you to get your patent as early as possible."

- On Artificial Intelligence: "The world too knows that when it comes to AI, India has an upper hand...
