Screengrab from Hamas' video of Al-Yassin 105mm anti-tank shell.
Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas has released a video of a new 105mm anti-tank shell named 'Al-Yassin,' with claims that it can destroy an Israeli Merkava tank.
Hamas claims that these 105mm anti-tank rocket-propelled grenades (RPG) shells were utilized by Hamas' Al-Qassam Brigade in Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, resulting in the destruction of an Israeli Merkava main battle tank (MBT).
Operation Al-Aqsa Flood represents one of the most brutal terrorist attacks ever conducted on Israeli territory by Hamas. It occurred in the southern part of Israel, leading to the tragic loss of over 1,300 Israeli lives.
In retaliation, Israel initiated a massive bombardment of the northern part of the Gaza Strip, specifically targeting known Hamas infrastructure under Operation 'Swords of Iron.'
Hamas has posted footage on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) demonstrating the use of the anti-tank shell against Israeli forces.
The Al-Yassin 105mm anti-tank shell is manufactured in Gaza, presumably with expertise provided by Iran through Hezbollah, along with sourcing raw materials from within Gaza or through smuggling from Egyptian, Lebanese, and potentially even Israeli territory.
Subsequently, the video depicts a Hamas terrorist allegedly destroying an Israeli Merkava tank using the 105mm anti-tank shell.
