The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) on Thursday successfully conducted flight trials of the UAV-Launched Precision Guided Missile (ULPGM)-V3.

The tests were carried out at the National Open Air Range (NOAR) in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, validating the system’s performance, accuracy, and integration with unmanned aerial platforms.

The ULPGM-V3 is designed for high-precision strikes against armoured targets and fortified enemy positions, offering fire-and-forget capability, improved range, and enhanced seeker performance.

This marks a significant step in India's push for self-reliance in defence under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative, and paves the way for deployment of low-cost smart munitions from UAVs in future battlefields.
