Wagner Group’s head — a Russian mercenary group fighting in the eastern Ukrainian city of Bakhmut — has accused the Russian government of not providing sufficient supply of ammunition.

Yevgeny Prigozhin, Wagner's Head said his army’s "lack of ammunition could be ordinary bureaucracy or a betrayal”.

"My men fear that they are being "set up" as scapegoats in case Russia lost its war in Ukraine," he added.

The Wagner group is the primary Russian formation fighting in Bakhmut, where intense fighting has been going on for the last eight months, against Ukrainian Forces.

The fighting is so intense that many in the western media have dubbed the city “Meat Grinder” due to heavy casualties on both sides.

Many in the western media suggest that the situation in the city is dire and the Ukrainian forces are in the midst of conducting a fighting retreat from the city.

On the other hand, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, while vowing to defend the city, said that his military commanders supported continuing operations to defend Bakhmut.

Meanwhile, the US has announced another aid package worth $400 million dollars for supplying more arms and ammunition to Ukraine.

Earlier Latvian Prime Minister Krišjānis Kariņš said, that its a matter of time that the Ukraine gets fighter jets to combat Russian Air Force.

On the other hand, the Ukrainian government has accused Russia of shelling a school in the Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk, the last major city in the Eastern region of Donetsk.
