Ukraine Reveals 3,000-Km Range Cruise Missile Capable Of Striking Moscow

Ukraine has unveiled a new long-range cruise missile, named Flamingo, that reportedly has a range of 3,000 kilometers and carries a massive warhead, a development that could place strategic Russian targets under serious threat.

First revealed in photos by Associated Press journalist Efrem Lukatsky and later in videos published by Ukrainska Pravda, the Flamingo was shown launched from rail-mounted trailers, with footage suggesting it has already been used in strikes inside Russia.

According to Ukrainian reports, the missile’s warhead weighs around 1,150 kilograms, although no official confirmation of its exact specifications has been provided.

Ukrainian Defence Minister Denys Shmyhal declined to offer details, saying more information would be released “when the right moment comes.”

Milanion lists the FP-5’s range at 3,000 km, with a cruising speed of 850–900 km/h and a six-metre wingspan.

If the claims are accurate, Flamingo would surpass all other strike options currently in Ukraine’s arsenal, including Storm Shadow and SCALP-EG missiles supplied by Western allies, and even match Russia’s Kalibr cruise missile in reach.

With its large warhead, it could inflict far greater damage than Ukraine’s Neptune land-attack missiles or drone-based strike systems.

A weapon with this range would bring Moscow and St Petersburg within reach, a capability that could reshape the balance in the ongoing conflict.
