In an unprecedented move, India carried out a series of precision missile strikes early Wednesday (7 May) across key locations in Pakistan, including the long-controversial headquarters of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) in Bahawalpur.
The strike on the JeM compound — centered around the sprawling Jamia Masjid Subhan Allah complex — has reportedly flattened the terror outfit’s primary operational base.
The compound had recently undergone a major expansion, doubling to over 18 acres, with new buildings, guard posts, and facilities believed to support recruitment and training activities.
The strike comes in response to the terror attack in Pahalgam on 22 April, in which 26 tourists were killed by terrorists.
India has struck nine targets across Pakistan, the government said in a statement.
