Made-In-India Anti-Drone System Is Knocking Out Pakistan's Chinese Drones; Army Impressed After Tests In Jammu, Punjab

The Indian Army is impressed by the performance of anti-drone jammers deployed against Pakistan in the Jammu and Punjab regions, reported Hindustan Times.
Anti-drone jammers disrupt the communication between the controller and the drone, while the spoofer hijacks the communication link with the controller and confuses the drone.
The Indian Army, the HT report says, bought 30 sets each for the Jammu and Punjab regions to counter the growing threat of drones.
Various jihadi groups, hand in glove with the Pakistan Army, use drones to bring in contraband, drugs, arms, ammunition, and even improvised explosive devices to the separatists in the Jammu and Punjab regions.
These arms and ammunition are then used by separatists to target civilians — particularly migrant workers — to vitiate the atmosphere and to create an aura of fear.
The HT report says that, around 300 drones were sighted in 2022, which is more than a three-fold increase in the drone sightings in 2021.
The anti-drone system the report further says, has been very effective in preventing intrusions and the army is satisfied with the system's capabilities, and they are planning to buy more systems.
Moreover, the report says, most of the drones are of Chinese origin, which use a GPS signal to navigate while a controller flies the drones to its target.
The anti-drones system first spoofs the satellite, (GPS-signal), which forces the drones to lose control and then the jammer blocks the signal which automatically crashes the drone to the ground.
The anti-drone system has a maximum range of 10 kilometres.
