The nodal agency K-RIDE (Rail Infrastructure Development Company (Karnataka) Limited floats tenders for the construction of the remaining four suburban rail stations along the Mallige Line: Yeshwantpur, Shettyhalli, Myadarahalli, and Chikkabanavara.

On 15 June, tenders were called for Corridor 2's eight stations: Benniganahalli, Kasturi Nagar, Seva Nagar, Banaswadi, Nagawara, Kanaka Nagar, Hebbal and Mathikere.

About 25.57 km long, Corridor-2 is estimated to be a Rs 859.97 crore project. It is divided into two packages: Baiyyapanahalli-Lottegollahalli and Lottegollahalli-Chikkabanavar.

The scope of the tender includes entry/exit structures, steel foot over bridges, roof structures, architectural finishes, plumbing, facade work, detailed design, and engineering.

- Sampige (Corridor 1): KSR Bengaluru-Devanahalli (41 km) connecting Kempegowda International Airport

- Mallige (Corridor 2): Baiyappanahalli-Chikkabanavara (25.14 km)

- Parijatha (Corridor 3) from Kengeri to Whitefield (35.52 km)

- Kanaka (Corridor 4): Heelalige-Rajankunte (46.24 km)

Currently, work is progressing solely on the Mallige Line, which runs from Chikkabanavara to Byappanahalli, among the four designated corridors.


The BSRP project, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in June 2022, received renewed commitment from Karnataka Infrastructure Development Minister M B Patil, who has set a new deadline of December 2027 for its completion. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 15,767 crore.
