The Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) has proposed to develop a 425-km pipeline to cater to the natural gas requirement in Kerala and Tamil Nadu.


The proposed pipeline will start from Petronet LNG Limited (PLL) import terminal at Kochi in Kerala and end at Thoothukudi in Tamil Nadu via Kanyakumari.

The pipeline will facilitate the supply of clean and environmentally-friendly natural gas to the southern India, thereby stimulating economic activities in the region, providing a cleaner and more efficient energy source for industries, businesses, and households.
