Pune's metro authority plans to consolidate all three metro lines into a single building at the Civil Court station.

It is also the largest station in the Pune Metro network, spanning 11.17 acres and featuring various access and exit locations. Civil Court station is at 33.1 metre (108.59 feet) in depth, which is India's deepest underground station.

The Pune Unified Metropolitan Transport Authority (PUMTA) has decided on this arrangement, with both Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) and Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation (MahaMetro) offering to cover the additional cost.

The PCMC to Swargate line is underground, while the Vanaz to Ramwadi line is elevated at Civil Court Station. However, the Hinjewadi to Shivajinagar station is located 150 metre away from these stations. To address this, it has been decided to shift the PMRDA route station into the same building.

According to Kumar, the cost of shifting the station will amount to Rs 3 crore, with both Maha-Metro and PMRDA saving Rs 1.5 crore each, reports Hindustan Times.

This consolidation will eliminate the need for commuters to walk between stations, as all three lines will be conveniently located in the same building.
