Bengaluru: A Month After CM Bommai Announced 37 km Sarjapur To Hebbal Metro Line, BMRCL Invites DPR Bids

Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (BMRCL) on Monday (Apr 11) invited tenders to appoint a consultant to create a Detailed Project Report for Namma Metro’s Phase 3‘s proposed 37 km Hebbal – Sarjapur metro line.


Sarjapur To Hebbal Metro Line

The scope of the contract includes the preparation of a detailed Project Report (DPR) for Metro Rail Corridor of length 37 km connecting Sarjapur to Hebbal via Agra, Koramangala and Dairy Circle.

The contracting firm selected for DPR will provide a baseline of the line’s length, underground & elevated route composition, number of stations, their locations, depot, coach requirement, ridership projection, operational game plan, total cost etc. The DPR preparation is expected to be complete in 8 months.

During his budget speech, the CM said in that year 2022-23, 33 km of metro line will be added. With this Namma Metro will have a total 89 km line.

The CM also said that the detailed project report (DPR) to take up Phase-3 of Bengaluru Metro project at an estimated cost of ₹11,250 crore will be submitted to Central Government for approval. This covers a distance of 32 km along the outer ring road from Hebbal to J.P. Nagar and 13 km between Hosahalli to Kadabagere.
