Gwalior: Union Minister Scindia To Hoist Virtual Tri-Colour Using Drone Today, Key Development Sites Of City To Be Showcased

Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia will hoist the virtual tri-colour using a drone in Gwalior on today (August 16).
The drone will fly over nine key development sites in the city for 15 minutes, showcasing the changing face of Gwalior.
As part of the Amrit Mahotsav celebrations of independence, every corner of the country is witnessing the colors of the event, and Madhya Pradesh is also becoming a part of this celebration.
The programme will commence at 4pm. The event will showcase nine development projects in Gwalior through drone footage — projects that are part of Scindia's vision for the new Gwalior.
These projects include initiatives that will transform Gwalior's landscape.
The drone will fly over the Swarnarekha River, crossing over the elevated road worth Rs 1,300 crore. Additionally, it will showcase the Gwalior theme road, multi-level car parking project, and the ongoing beautification of Bada as part of the city's beautification and citizen convenience efforts, costing Rs 300 crore.
The event will cover various other developmental projects such as the construction of four entry gates in the city, the beautification of the Morar River, the newly operated 1,000-bed hospital, and the multi-speciality hospital.
This event is being organised in collaboration with two major drone companies in the country — Bharat Drone Association and Garuda Aerospace.
As part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the programme will become a part of the glorious history, culture, and achievements of the region, celebrating India's 75 years of Independence.
The historic moment will not only be a recognition of India's Amrit Mahotsav but also a symbol of the growing influence of the aviation sector in Gwalior city.
Gwalior currently has 76 flights. Along with this, Scindia is also focusing on bringing innovation to the sector and changes in policies to boost the drone sector, giving more opportunities for the youth to engage in this field.
Following this, the central government also launched a production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme worth Rs 120 crore to boost production and take the 'Make-in-India' initiative to new heights.
