A day after Centre cleared third electronic manufacturing cluster in Karnataka, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday (25 March) said that the cluster will greatly benefit the people of Dharwad and surrounding areas.

It will also boost Karnataka’s strides in the world of manufacturing and innovation, PM Modi added.

In a tweet thread, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi informed that the cluster in Dharwad will attract Rs 1,500 crore in investment and create 18,000 jobs, which will strengthen the economy of the district as well as Karnataka.

Responding to the tweet thread by Joshi, the Prime Minister said,"This will greatly benefit the people of Dharward and surrounding areas. It will also boost Karnataka’s strides in the world of manufacturing and innovation".

Earlier on Friday (24 March), Union Minister of State for Electronics and IT Rajeev Chandrasekhar said that the Centre cleared the third electronics manufacturing cluster for Karnataka, which will be set up in the Dharwad district.
