Bids for power supply invited.
National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has invited bids for a key power supply project for Mumbai Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor (MAHSR).
The work involves design, manufacture, supply, construction, installation, testing and commissioning of a 2x25 kV power supply electrification system for the 508 km stretch of the corridor.
The work also includes traction substation, overhead equipment and power distribution equipment, along with associated buildings for these systems and related equipment in the training institute on design build lump sum price basis for the construction of Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed rail.
Termed as EW-1 package, a bid security amount of Rs 571 million has been fixed for the prospective bidders. The last date for bid submission is 17 April 2023.
The work envisages making of the entire stretch compatible for running high-speed trains at speeds of up to 320 km per hour.
The scope of work mainly comprises traction power supply system which includes 14 traction substations and associated works, distribution power supply system for non-traction loads and overhead equipment (OHE) for the entire 508 km stretch and depots.
Under ‘Make in India’ provisions, material and equipment for power supply and OHE to be sourced from India include various types of transformers, switchgears, protective devices, cables, steel pipe masts etc.
Some material and equipment which are proven on high-speed rail would be imported from Japan which include cantilever assemblies, overhead conductors etc.
