Noida: Hiranandani Group Seeks 100 Acres Land Parcel From YEIDA To Establish Semiconductor Park

The Hiranandani Group has sought 100 acres of land from the Yamuna Express Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) for setting up a semiconductor park.
The officials said the groups demands are being looked into, as per report from TOI.
In a letter to the Authority, Hiranandani Group CEO, Darshap Hiranandani expressed the company’s willingness to set up a semiconductor assembly testing marking and packaging (ATMP) unit in the YEIDA region.
He added, “We are very keen to establish this facility in YEIDA (region). While we will seek final allotment of land and InvestUP formalities after receiving clearances from Indian Semiconductor Mission (ISM), we would be grateful if YEIDA can confirm availability of 95-100 acres of land in their facilities near the Jewar airport”.
With this proposal, the company is expecting to invest more than Rs 2,500 crore in the initial stage of this proposal and plans to execute it within 24 months after obtaining all necessary approvals.
“We are in the process of filing the application with the government of India under the ISM,” the CEO said in his letter.
The company has also setup its data centre division called the Yotta Data Service Private Limited which is successfully operating in the region.
Earlier, the group had requested 25 acres of land in the YEIDA region to establish the data centre park.
In September 2020, they were allocated 20 acres in Knowledge Park-5 to set up the first data centre in Uttar Pradesh.
“We are now keen to expand our footprint by piloting our semiconductor division project in UP as well. We have incorporated Tarq Semiconductors Pvt Ltd in order to forward our semiconductor vertical,” he added.
In Phase 1, the group has requested 200,000 litres of water per hour to operate the unit, while for all three phases, an estimated total of 750,000 litres of water per hour is required.
Additionally, the group has requested a power substation that can provide 50MW.
