Prime Minister Modi Inaugurates 87-Km Vadodara-Bharuch Section Of Delhi-Mumbai Expressway

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Thursday (22 February), inaugurated the Vadodara-Bharuch section of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.

The 87-km-long Vadodara-Bharuch section having three packages was inaugurated at a public function in Gujarat’s Navsari.

These sections will connect major logistics hubs in Vadodara, resulting in significant economic development in Bharuch and Ankleshwar regions.

After inaugurating the Vadodara-Bharuch section of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, Prime Minister Modi posted on X: “Inauguration of the Vadodara-Bharuch section of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway today marks a milestone in infrastructure development for Gujarat. This crucial stretch not only enhances connectivity between major economic hubs but also promises a smoother journey for several people.

According to a statement released on 21 February, building a strong road network across the state is one of the top priorities of the Gujarat government.

In this direction, the construction of three sections of the Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway in Gujarat has been completed.

The first package of 23 km from Padra to Vadodara, has been constructed at a cost of over Rs 4,300 crore. The second package, is about 32 km long from Sanpa to Padra, constructed at a cost of over Rs 3,200 crore. Meanwhile, the third section, stretching 31 km from Manubar to Sanpa, has been constructed at a cost exceeding Rs 2,400 crore.
