Infrastructure
The Vande Bharat Express.
Aiming at providing a world class experience to passengers and boost regional tourism, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off Goa’s first Vande Bharat Express from Madgaon railway station, on Saturday (3 June) at 10.30am via video conferencing.
The state-of-the-art Vande Bharat Express is expected to improve connectivity in the Mumbai-Goa route and provide the people of the region, the means to travel with speed and comfort.
It will cover the journey in approximately seven and half hours — which will help save about one hour of journey time, when compared to the current fastest train connecting the two places.
The indigenously made train, equipped with world class amenities and advanced safety features including KAVACH technology, will also boost tourism in both states.
Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
