Uttar Pradesh: Union Minister Nitin Gadkari Lays Foundation Stones Of Nine National Highway Projects Worth Rs 3,500 Crore

Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has inaugurated and laid foundation stones of nine national highway projects in Mahoba, Uttar Pradesh.
The projects, to be undertaken with an investment of Rs 3,500 crore, were inaugurated by the Minister in presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and all MPs, MLAs and officers.
Gadkari said, "Mahoba, the land of brave warriors, has a rich history. With the construction of Jhansi-Khajuraho road, the traffic will ease in Maihar-Singrauli-Ranchi industrial division and Jhansi-Orchha-Khajuraho and tourism of the state will get a boost."
"With the construction of the Kabrai section on the Madhya Pradesh-Uttar Pradesh border, the traffic in the Bhopal-Kanpur industrial division till Lucknow will be smooth, saving time," he added.
The Minister further said that with the construction of road over bridge between Jhansi-Prayagraj, traffic in Bundelkhand region will be facilitated.
On the occasion, Gadkari announced four-laning of the 258 km Ramvangaman road in Chitrakoot, 15 km four-lane bypass at a cost of Rs 200 crore, 18 km four-lane bypass in Mahoba and 15 km four-lane bypass in Artara, along with four-laning of the 70 km stretch from Prayagraj to Mirzapur (NH-76E).
