After major uproar erupted to the Andhra Pradesh Government's plan to auction off 50 immovable properties donated by devotees of Lord Venkateswara to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), the State Government has suspended the plan and has directed the TTD to re-examine the decision, reports Livemint.

TTD is the empowered entity which administers the cash-rich hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara which is situated close to Tirumala. It's properties which the State Government had intended to auction off were situated in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and in Rishikesh in the State of Uttarakhand.

The State Government has now directed TTD to examine if the properties can be used by it to construct temples and to carry out dharma pracharam and other such religious activities.
